A housing assembly () for a working assembly () of an outdoor power device () may include a first, second, and third housing portion. The second and third housing portions may be operably coupled to the first housing portion to at least partially enclose a motor housing (), which may comprise a body portion (), a top endplate (), and a bottom endplate () to house an electric motor for driving the working assembly (). The first, second, and third housing portions may combine to define a first opening and a second opening () such that two opposing sides of the body portion () are exposed in respective ones of the first and second openings (). In addition, or alternatively, a gap () may separate the housing assembly () from the entirety of the top endplate (), the entirety of the body portion (), and a substantial majority of the bottom endplate ().

An electric power device may include a casing, a motor disposed within the casing, a control unit, and an air channel. The motor may be configured to operate a working implement of the device and may include a motor housing having at least one outlet through which air cooling the motor exits the motor housing. The air channel may be configured to enclose the at least one outlet of the motor housing. The air channel may provide a passage for the air drawn from outside the casing and through the motor housing out of the casing via an exhaust outlet disposed in the casing at an end of the air channel.

The present disclosure relates to a battery powered tool () extending in a longitudinal direction (Z), comprising a tool body () and a battery pack (), which battery pack is arranged on the tool body and adapted to power the tool. A battery pack for powering a battery powered tool may include a housing, a plurality of cells and an electrical connection assembly. The housing may include a sidewall assembly configured to correspond to respective sidewalls of a battery compartment defined at a portion of the battery powered tool to facilitate insertion of the battery pack into the battery compartment. The sidewall assembly may form an enclosure around the plurality of cells on all sides substantially parallel to the direction of insertion. The electrical connection assembly may be disposed at a portion of the sidewall assembly to communicate the combined output to a connector disposed at a corresponding sidewall of the battery compartment. The electrical connection assembly may be arranged to engage the connector responsive to movement of the battery pack in a direction substantially parallel to the direction of insertion of the battery pack into the battery compartment.

An arrangement for cleaning of intake air for an air-cooled internal combustion engine of a motor-driven tool, such as a chain saw. The arrangement includes an air conductor surrounding a fan wheel arranged to propel intake air around an axis of the fan wheel. An inner wall of the air conductor is arranged for guiding air propelled by the fan wheel. An air nozzle for cleaning of intake air is arranged on the inner wall of the air conductor radially close to said fan wheel. The air nozzle serves as a passage way for providing cleaned intake air from the fan wheel to the engine of the motor-driven tool, wherein the air nozzle and the air conductor are manufactured in one piece.

Arrangement related to a motor-driven tool

A throttle control device for a hand held tool, such as a chain saw, is provided. The tool is provided with a forwardly extending wire for transmitting a motion from a throttle control lever turnably arranged about a first axis to a throttle valve. One end of the wire is secured to a wire arm that is turnably arranged about a second axis. The wire arm is provided with one or several teeth cooperating with the throttle control lever and the second axis is arranged behind the first axis.
