A hose system has a pump hose with a hose portion insertable into a pump head of a hose pump. The hose portion has at least a first stop element fixing the hose portion in the feed direction. The first stop element can subsequently be connected immovably to the pump hose at a predefinable position of the pump hose. Thus, the pump hose can be used more universally and can be adapted to different pump heads.

A bioreactor has a stirrer shaft that is driveable by a drive and on which a stirrer element is positioned. The position of the stirrer element is determined by a stirrer installation aid. The stirrer installation aid has a free end with an abutment surface on which the free end of the stirrer element abuts. The stirrer installation aid is designed as a sleeve that comprises a slot extending between the axial ends of the sleeve. The slot is delimited by opposite flanks of a wall, and the sleeve is placed on the stirrer shaft. The stirrer installation aid can be pulled off laterally from the stirrer shaft. A method for installing the stirrer element on the stirrer shaft arranged in the bioreactor also is provided.

The invention relates to a device for culturing cells in a bioreactor, the waste-air line of which leading out of the reactor interior comprises a waste-air filter having a sterile-filtration microfilter membrane, wherein at least one prefilter having a hydrophobic filter material is placed upstream of the waste-air filter toward the reactor interior.

A device and a method for adjusting stirring blades on a stirring blade receptacle of a stirrer, wherein the stirring blades can be fixed with a stirring blade axis in receiving bores, which are arranged transversely to an axis of rotation and are a part of the stirring blade receptacle, at intended predetermined angle of attack relative to a virtual plane that is arranged transversely to the axis of rotation of the stirrer. An associated device body is provided with a receiving element for receiving the stirring blade receptacle with unfixed stirring blades. A stop is arranged on the device body for each lower face, which faces the receiving element and is a part of the stirring blades, outside the respective stirring blade axis. Each respective stirring blade is then brought into abutment against its associated stop, to place it into the predetermined angle of attack.

A bioreactor has a reactor bag () with a predominantly flexible bag wall () that has a rigid bearing area. A stirrer arrangement () is in the bearing area and includes rigid profile ring () made of a non-magnetic material and fixed in the bearing area. The stirrer arrangement () also includes a shaftless stirrer () rotatably engaged with the profile ring () and having parts that are permanently magnetic. An electric coil arrangement () is outside the reactor bag () and can produce a rotating magnetic field that interacts with the permanent-magnetic areas of the stirrer () to produce a torque that rotates the stirrer () and circulates the contents of the bag ().

A mixing system has a single-use container () with flexible walls and a mixing device. The mixing device has at least one encapsulated drive () and a mixer shaft (). The drive () can be disposed of after use together with the mixer shaft () and the single-use container (). The mixing system can be used in biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry for mixing liquids, dissolving solids or cultivating cells and microorganisms.

A connector assembly has a connector () with a fluid leadthrough () and a contact device (). The contact device has an essentially planar contact surface () and a fluid leadthrough opening () passing through the contact surface (). A sterile covering () sterilely covers at least part of the contact surface () and/or an end of the fluid leadthrough opening () adjacent the contact surface (). A coupling device () is provided in proximity to the contact surface () outwardly from the fluid leadthrough opening (). The connector assembly further includes a complementary connector () with a complementary coupling device () that can engage with the coupling device () along a coupling direction () that is essentially parallel to the contact surface ().

A bioreactor () having a container (), a shaft housing () for guiding a shaft () through a wall (), a stirrer () connected to the shaft () in the interior () of the container (), and a drive () arranged outside the container () and connectable to the shaft (). The shaft () is mounted in the shaft housing () via at least one ball bearing () and is sealed in relation to the shaft housing () by at least one seal (). The seal () is configured as a radial shaft seal () having two sealing lips () that are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the shaft () and are able to run on the shaft () without lubricant.

The invention relates to a plate heat exchanger comprising a plurality of plates having flow channels, wherein a first plate has a front side having at least one flow channel for a first fluid and a second plate has a front side having at least one flow channel for a second fluid, and wherein the plates have through openings via which the flow channels for the same fluid are respectively connected to one another, wherein a front plate, which is placed in front of the front side of the first plate, has ports for the first fluid and for the second fluid, wherein an end plate forms the end of the aligned plates, wherein the plates and ports are formed from plastic, and wherein the plates are bonded or welded tightly together.

A container has flexible walls defining an interior. A mixer is arranged in the interior of the container and includes a mixer shaft with opposite first and second ends. A mixing element is mounted to the first end of the mixer shaft. The second end of the mixer shaft is fixed magnetically to a coupling piece disposed on the exterior of the flexible wall of the container. The coupling piece is connected operatively to a force introducing device that generates movement of the mixer.

A mixing system has a container with flexible walls (), a fluid-tight drive space () and a mixing device. The container with flexible walls () has at least one head plate (). The fluid-tight drive space () is outside of the container interior (), and is enclosed by the head plate () and a cap () attached to the head plate (). The mixing device has a stirrer shaft (), onto which stirrer elements (') are attached. The stirrer shaft () is guided from the container interior () through an opening in the head plate () and the section of the stirrer shaft () in the drive space () is guided by bearings (). A seal () is fit into the opening of the head plate, and encloses the stirrer shaft () and seals the container interior () from the drive space ().

A mixing vessel includes a flexible container, elements for mixing its contents, aeration elements, a drain/lower bearing port having a rigid flange provided with a drain passage, attached in a tight manner to the lower portion of the container wall, supporting a lower bearing that is adjacent to the drain passage. The vessel includes an extended element for dispensing aeration gas and is spaced essentially radially from the drain/bearing port; at least one tubular element for dispensing aeration gas extends from the extended dispensing element, in the inside space, along the inside surface of the lower portion and the side portion of the wall of the container and extends on the outside of the container from the upper portion; at least one mixing element is spaced essentially from the lower portion of the container wall, from the lower bearing, and from at least one extended element for dispensing aeration gas.
