To provide a rotating member and a forming method thereof that allow formation of protrusions biting into an opposite surface to achieve high slip torque with a simple configuration. The rotating member includes a boss part and an anti-slip surface at least on one of both axial end faces of the boss part. The anti-slip surface has a plurality of corrugated rib parts, which includes a main groove and at least one auxiliary groove extending parallel to the main groove, with a ridge protruding higher than the anti-slip surface between the main groove and the auxiliary groove.

Rotating member and forming method thereof

To provide a tensioner capable of preventing slipping between a rack portion and ratchet pawls and securing a large backlash with a simple structure. The tensioner includes a ratchet rotatably mounted on a housing and having a front pawl and a rear pawl spaced apart in a front and rear direction on a side face positioned opposite the rack portion. The ratchet includes an additional pawl formed between the front pawl and the rear pawl in the front and rear direction on the side face positioned opposite the rack portion.

To provide a tensioner that can keep the oil pressure in an oil pressure chamber stable and consistently generate suitable reaction force and damping force to impact loads to reduce looseness in the chain and noise. A piston is set such as to partition an inner space of a plunger into an adjustment space on the front side and the oil pressure chamber on the rear side, a piston restricting member restricting the movement of the piston toward the adjustment space. An oil relief mechanism is configured to cause the piston to move forward when oil pressure in the oil pressure chamber rises so as to discharge oil inside the oil pressure chamber to the outside. The piston restricting member has an orifice function that can control the amount of discharged oil.

The present invention provides a chain tensioner that automatically adjusts flow path resistance inside an oil leak path with a simple configuration to make it possible to reduce a change in damping characteristics resulting from a change in oil temperature and reduce an increase in manufacturing cost. In the chain tensioner, a pressure oil chamber is provided with an oil leak path communicating with an outside of the chain tensioner, the oil leak path contains a movable piece which is movable with a temperature-dependent deformation member that deforms according to oil temperature, and the movable piece is formed into a shape that changes flow path resistance of the oil leak path according to a position to which the movable piece is moved.

To provide a tensioner that has a simple structure and is easy to assemble, and is configured to smoothly relieve pressure during oil release with reduced flow resistance so that the oil pressure in an oil pressure chamber is kept stable in a favorable manner. A relief valve unit includes a cap member that fits with a seat member to retain a stopper member inside the seat member. An external relief hole, which causes a relief-side space in a plunger hole to communicate with the outside of a plunger, opens radially in an outer circumferential surface of the plunger.

Provided is a tensioner with which efficiency of recirculation of oil can be improved and dependency on oil supplied from an oil pump or the like can be reduced. The tensioner includes a pressure adjustment mechanism, wherein the pressure adjustment mechanism includes a cylinder portion and a piston that is disposed in the cylinder portion so as to be capable of moving in a front-rear direction and that divides an interior space into an oil storage chamber and an adjustment space, and a liquid-tight state is maintained between the cylinder portion and the piston in all positions between a position of the piston where the piston has moved closest to the oil storage chamber side and a position of the piston where the piston has moved closest to the adjustment space side.

To provide a tensioner capable of keeping, with a simple structure, oil pressure in an oil pressure chamber stable. The tensioner includes a pressure adjusting mechanism that adjusts oil pressure in the oil pressure chamber. The pressure adjusting mechanism includes a cylinder part, a piston unit set inside the cylinder part so as to be able to approach and separate from the oil pressure chamber, and piston biasing units that bias the piston unit toward the oil pressure chamber. A liquid tight seal condition is kept between the cylinder part and the piston unit at any position between a position where the piston unit has moved closest to the oil pressure chamber and a position where the piston unit has moved closest to the adjustment space. The piston biasing units include at least two piston springs.

The present invention provides a chain tensioner that, while being free from an increase in its size, reduces the number of processing parts and the number of assembling steps and reduces the outflow of oil to an outside. Inside a plunger, an inner sleeve including a check valve unit provided on a side of the inner sleeve facing a pressure oil chamber and a pressure regulating unit provided on an outer periphery of the inner sleeve is arranged. The inner sleeve has a cylinder part and a movement restricting part provided on the side of the inner sleeve facing the pressure oil chamber, and the pressure regulating unit has an annular relief valve slidably fitted onto an outer surface of the cylinder part and slidably contacting on an inner surface of the plunger and a relief spring urging the relief valve to a side of the movement restricting part.

Provided is a tensioner which can ensure, with a simple structure, both the stability of the installation state of a check valve and the capacity of an oil storage chamber. A tensioner has a plunger, a housing, a check valve, and a coil spring. The plunger has a front-side plunger part having a pressing front end portion, and a rear-side plunger part disposed on the rear side of the front-side plunger part and having a valve movement restricting portion. The check valve is disposed on the rear side of the valve movement restricting portion. The coil spring is disposed so that one end thereof is in contact with a housing bottom portion and the other end thereof is in contact with the rear side of the check valve.

Provided is a simple-structured tensioner that can ensure a smooth flow of oil while enabling a reduction in the production cost. A tensionerincludes a plungerprovided with a plunger through holeextending from an outer circumferential surface to an inner circumferential surface of the plunger, and a tensioner bodyprovided with an oil supply holeextending from an outer wall of the tensioner bodyto the plunger bore. The oil supply holeis formed in an elongated shape that extends along a protruding direction of the plunger.

An object of the present invention is to provide a tensioner and a rocking lever that have simple configurations and that enable an increase in the volume of a space provided inside a plunger, the tensioner and the rocking lever being capable of preventing a stopper pin from being damaged or falling out. A plunger pin holeis formed in a plungerof a tensioner. In a tensioner body, a body pin holeis formed in a tip protruding portionprovided so as to protrude from a side of an opening of the plunger housing hole. One of lipsprovided on opposite sides, in a width direction, of the pressing surfaceof a rocking leverso as to protrude from the pressing surface, has a thinned portionthinned in the width direction.

To provide a tensioner which can circulate a sufficient amount of oil even if there is a long time lag until pressurized oil starts to be supplied, and which exhibits a lower level of leak of oil stored therein, and which is structured simply without increasing the number of components therefore. The tensioner includes: a tensioner body having a plunger bore; a cylindrical plunger slidably inserted into the plunger bore; and biasing means for urging the plunger outward. When the tensioner is fixed to a wall surface, a body hole that extends from the wall surface up to a circumferential surface of the plunger bore is located lower than an oil discharge hole in the wall surface.

An object of the present invention is to provide a chain tensioner which enables operations on an elastic ring member during assembly and maintenance work to be readily performed and which is capable of eliminating protrusion of an operating portion of the elastic ring member in a direction opposite to a mounting surface, with a simple configuration. Provided is a chain tensioner that is capable of restricting the movement of a plunger at an engagement position, hardly causes its breakage and abrasion even if receiving a great force applied to the plunger, needs no setting for a backlash amount, and allows the engagement position of the plunger to be freely shifted forward and backward. The tensioner body has an engagement member that extends toward and retracts from engagement grooves provided on the outer periphery of the plunger, a press member that presses, in one direction, a cam member which maintains and releases the extending state of the engagement member, and a hydraulic supply path through which oil is supplied to press the cam member in a direction opposite to the pressing direction of the press member.
