An electronic apparatus includes a storage chassis, an electronic component, an antenna circuit, and a proximity sensor circuit. A pair of main faces facing each other in the thickness direction and end faces of the storage chassis define a storage space. The electronic component is disposed in the storage space. The antenna circuit is disposed in the storage space so that at least a part of the antenna circuit overlaps the electronic component when viewed in the thickness direction. The proximity sensor circuit is connected to the antenna circuit, and detects proximity of an object based on a physical quantity that changes according to proximity of the object. The antenna circuit includes a substrate, an antenna element, and an antenna ground. The proximity sensor circuit is located in an end space defined between the electronic component and the end face.

Electronic apparatus

An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes an antenna module having an antenna, and a body chassis storing electronic components. The body chassis, which is made of an electromagnetic shielding material such as metal, has a flat plate with a processor arranged thereon and with a cutout portion formed at an end portion thereof, a rear plate connected to the end portion of the flat plate, and a dent wall connected to the cutout portion and to the rear plate. The antenna module is provided in an antenna section whose front, left, and right sides are enclosed by the dent wall.

Electronic device having an antenna

An electronic apparatus includes a conductive part provided to configure an outer wall of a main body chassis and formed of a conductive material, a radio wave transmission part provided to configure the outer wall of the main body chassis and formed of a resin material, and a first antenna provided at a position facing the radio wave transmission part inside the main body chassis. The conductive part has a first protrusion portion protruded toward the inside of the main body chassis and joined to the resin material which forms the radio wave transmission part. The first protrusion portion is electrically connected to the first antenna.

The present disclosure provides an electronic apparatus having an antenna unit at a body chassis. The electronic apparatus includes: a body chassis; an antenna supporting member disposed in an antenna space at a periphery of the body chassis, and having an upper face on which an antenna pattern is formed, the antenna space being surrounded with a dielectric cover; a shield wall for the antenna space, including a conductive thin film covering an entire lateral face of the antenna supporting member close to a center of the body chassis, an upper antenna ground element connected to the conductive thin film and the rear face of a keyboard cover member, and a lower antenna ground element connected to the conductive thin film and the rear face of a bottom-face cover member. The conductive thin film, the upper antenna ground element and the lower antenna ground element define the shield wall.

Electronic apparatus with shielded antenna space

A cable connection method is provided. In a cable connection structure, a connection agent in which fine solder particle are densely scattered in a thermosetting resin-based adhesive is interposed between a connection portion of a flexible printed cable (FPC) cable in which a shield layer is formed on one surface side of a signal layer and a connection portion on a substrate side. Then, the connection portion of the FPC cable and the connection portion on the substrate side are solder connected by heating. A shield layer corresponding to the connection portion of the FPC cable and/or a region portion up to a position separated from the base end side of the connection portion of the FPC cable by a predetermined length is configured with a conductive mesh structure body. The other region of the shield layer contains a conductive flat plate structure.

Switching device having a push button

A wireless charging system provides charging to a multi-display device. A docking station in the system includes at least two transmission sources positioned so that a charger on the device is in range of at least one of the transmission sources when docked. In some embodiments, the docking station receives the device in a non-planar configuration and the charger receives charge on whichever side of the docking station it is docked on. In some embodiments, the system determines which side of the docking station is activated to provide charging. The multi-display device can be activated in a mode of operation associated with the side of the docking station determined to be providing charge.

Wireless charging system for multi-mode device

An antenna system suitable for a mobile device is disclosed. The mobile device includes a display casing with a conductive region and a non-conductive region. The antenna system includes a driven element having an inverted-F antenna arranged in the non-conductive region of the display casing. The display casing is also provided with an electrostatic discharge (ESD) conductor as a countermeasure against ESD. The ESD conductor is connected to the conductive region of the casing. The ESD conductor causes static charges in the air to be discharged to the conductive region of the casing. The ESD conductor also produces harmonic resonance and exchanges electromagnetic energy with the driven element to improve the gain of the driven element.

Antenna system for wireless terminal devices

Wireless noise is detected within a time period specifically held after a data packet is wirelessly communicated, where no data is purposefully wirelessly communicated during this time period. The time period may be an inter-frame space (IFS) period within which no data is to be wirelessly communicated, and that is a period waited for prior to accessing a wireless medium over which data is wirelessly communicated. One or more actions are performed to counteract the noise. The frequency at which a liquid crystal display is being driven may be decreased so that harmonics caused thereby that caused the noise are no longer within the wireless communication frequency range. An opposite-in-phase version of the noise may also or alternatively be combined with a signal when data is subsequently wirelessly received. The signal includes a data component and a noise component, the opposite-in-phase version of the noise canceling out the noise component.

A lens apparatus includes; a magnification-varying lens unit, which moves in an optical axis direction during varying magnification, an image stabilization lens unit movable in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis; an image stabilization driving unit for driving the image stabilization lens unit, and an image stabilization controller for controlling the driving of the image stabilization lens unit by the image stabilization driving unit, in which the image stabilization controller controls the image stabilization driving unit to move the image stabilization lens unit so as to reduce a positional deviation of an object image formed at one predetermined point on an image plane, the positional deviation being caused by a movement of the magnification-varying lens unit.

A lens apparatus comprises a barrelwhich houses an imaging optical system including magnification-varying lens unitsand, a focus lens unit, and a beam separation elementwhich separates a part of a light beam from an object out of a light beam directed to an imaging surface, operating members, anddisposed on an outer circumference of the barrel and configured to be manually operated, a drive unitdisposed outside the barrel and including actuatorsandwhich drives each of the magnification-varying lens unit and the focus lens unit, and a controllerwhich controls the actuator, and a focus detectordisposed outside the barrel and configured to detect a focus state of the imaging optical system using the light beam separated by the beam separation element. The focus detector is embedded in the drive unit.

An apparatus has an antenna distance setting mechanism that sets a distance between a cosmetic cover and a radio antenna. An upper housing and a radio antenna, which has a ground and a radiating element and is movably attached to the upper housing, are covered by a cosmetic cover formed of a dielectric material. An antenna distance setting mechanism includes a radio antenna supporting member, elastic members, and protrusions. The radio antenna-supporting member is movably attached to the upper housing. When the cosmetic cover is attached to the upper housing, an inner wall of the cosmetic cover pushes the ends of the protrusions against an elastic force of the elastic members to set the distance between the radiating element and the inner wall of the cosmetic cover to a predetermined distance.

Portable computer and antenna distance setting mechanism

Antenna devices are provided comprising antenna structures encapsulated or molded into plastic covers of computing devices to enable wireless communication. For example, one or more antenna structures can be encasulated within, or molded into, a plastic display cover of a portable laptop computer. Embedded antenna designs can include various antenna types that are built using one or more wires or thin metallic strips encapsulated into plastic device covers. Insert/injection molding methods can be used to encapsulate antenna structures in plastic device covers during fabrication of the plastic device covers.
