The object of the present invention is to provide an antenna for communicating with a low earth orbit (LEO) satellite which is small-sized and light and can track a LEO satellite at high speed at a small-sized earth station using a LEO satellite. The antenna according to the present invention uses two offset parabolic antenna-type reflectors and each primary feed is installed in the focal position of a paraboloid forming the reflector. The quantity of an offset of the offset parabolic antenna is selected so that antenna gain is maximum at the minimum operational elevation angle. Each primary feed is mechanically independent of the mobile reflector, is attached and fixed to a feed line. In the meantime, each reflector is turned based upon an azimuth axis and an elevation axis according to Az-EL mounting.

The remote ground terminal transmitter comprises a source of data signals, a modulator for providing a carrier signal, receiving a data signal from the source of data signals, and modulating the carrier signal with the received data signal so as to produce a constant envelope minimum shift key modulation signal. The transmitter further comprises a power amplifier which operates in the saturation mode to amplify the modulated carrier signal produced by the modulator to the desired power level.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a transmitter which is inexpensive and small in size and is reduced in power dissipation and besides wherein the output power of a power amplifier can be varied to an arbitrary value. A high-frequency choke circuit comprises a dielectric layer covered with grounding conductors, a lead line of high-impedance and at least one capacitance land formed within the dielectric layer, and at least one through-hole connecting the lead line and the capacitance land. The capacitance lands are disposed closer to the grounding conductors, resulting in large capacitances with small areas. The capacitance lands are formed on a layer distant from the layer on which the lead line is formed. Therefore, unnecessary electromagnetic coupling with other circuits formed on the same layer as the lead line can be reduced. The grounding conductors cover both surfaces of the dielectric layers that incorporate the capacitance lands and the lead line to thereby shield the circuit formed in the dielectric layers electromagnetically from outside.

A composite microwave circuit module assembly has a dielectric substrate which is formed by a lower layer, an intermediate layer and an upper layer. The lower layer and the upper layer include a lower ground surface and an upper ground surface, respectively, and the intermediate layer includes a radio frequency signal circuit formed by an active circuit element and a passive circuit element. A number of via-holes filled with metal are arranged along the radio frequency signal circuit to short-circuit the upper ground surface and the lower ground surface so as to shield the radio frequency signal circuit.
