An electronic component placement machine and an electronic component placement method are disclosed. A takeout and transfer head, provided on rotary chip takeout and transfer mechanism, removes a chip from a feeder and flips it. A placement head receives the flipped chip and places it onto a board. An image of the chip at a pre-centering recognition position is captured during a takeout and transfer operation, during which the takeout and transfer head transfers the chip to the placement head at a receiving position, so as to recognize the position. Based on this positional recognition result, the chip and the placement head are positioned by controlling a placement head driving mechanism. Moreover, the takeout and transfer head is rotated to a position which does not hinder image capturing of the electronic component for placement positioning.

Electronic component placement method

A fixed subscriber unit includes a voltage measuring unit which acquires a DC input voltage value to be applied to a power circuit, and a comparator/judging unit which compares a preset DC voltage with the DC voltage measurement and judges whether the power circuit is driven by the DC voltage from an AC/DC adaptor or by the DC voltage supplied from a charge battery. When the power circuit is driven by the charge battery, the available operation time of the fixed subscriber unit is calculated by a calculation unit from the DC voltage measurement. The information thus obtained on the driving power state and/or the available operation time are aurally or visually notified to the user by a notification unit. The user thus can select an appropriate method of using the fixed subscriber unit according to the prevailing situation.

A zoom lens for a video camera includes a focusing mechanism which is designed to prevent a picked-up image from shaking when the focusing mechanism is operated manually or electrically. In the focusing mechanism, a female helicoid is threadedly fitted on a male helicoid, and a female helicoid holder supports the female helicoid from a lower side of the female helicoid to maintain a proper threaded engagement between the female helicoid and the male helicoid. The female helicoid holder is provided at a lower side of the male helicoid.
