In a print head for a powder jet image forming apparatus according to the present invention, a grid electrode is provided between first electrodes and a developer supply roller in parallel with major surfaces of an insulating layer, and therefore, a distance between any of the first electrodes and the grid electrode is kept fixed. Thus, applying a given level of voltage to the grid electrode allows an electric field for supplying developer to the first electrodes to arise uniformly. This is effective in avoiding uneven density in the resultant image.

Novel regenerated cellulose fiber dyeable with disperse dye is disclosed. In this regenerated cellulose fiber, 10 to 40 weight % of polyester fine particles or styrene-acrylic polymer fine particles having an average particle size of 0.05 to 5 .mu.m are compounded. Products wherein the regenerated cellulose fiber and polyester fiber are used in combination can give dyed products excellent in homochromatic properties, and since both fibers can be dyed at the same time, the dyeing efficiency is remarkably improved.

The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus comprising a main image forming mechanism for forming a toner image on a recording sheet based on image information and an auxiliary image forming mechanism for forming an auxiliary image on a recording sheet on which the main image is formed. The auxiliary image forming mechanism supplies charged toner to a substrate provided with a plurality of toner passage holes and selectively forms electric potential which allow or does not allow the charged toner to pass through each toner passage hole by a pair of electrodes. Disclosed is an image forming apparatus, in which toner electrically charged in a prescribed polarity is fed from a toner feed device into a toner passage of a toner control device. A predetermined voltage is applied to an electrode of the toner control device in accordance with image signals given by an image information generating device, thereby forming an electric field for directing the toner through the toner passage from the toner-feed side to the toner ejection side of the toner control device. After passing through the toner passage, the toner falls down onto the recording paper placed on a base electrode, thereby forming a desired toner image thereon. Ultrasonic vibration with a variable frequency is applied to the toner control device to allow the toner to uniformly fall down therefrom. A prescribed voltage is applied to the base electrode to form an electric field for accelerating the falling of the toner from the toner control device toward the recording sheet.
