The present invention is to provide a connector seal allowing an accurate inspection of presence of an incorrectly formed bore in a terminal insertion bore of the connector seal. A connector seal includes a seal main body and a plurality of terminal insertion bores. Each terminal insertion bore has an upper membrane potion and a lower membrane portion, which are spaced one another and interconnected together with a lamella. Preferably, the terminal insertion bore has a membrane, which includes a substantially curved groove and a substantially curved lamella. Preferably, the terminal insertion bore has a membrane which includes a lamella, the lamella being oriented in a direction coincident with a diagonal line of a rectangular cross-section of a terminal so that corners of the terminal hit opposite ends of the lamella.

Connector seal

A lever type connector comprises a first connector housing; a second connector housing including a projection; and a lever pivotally engaged with the first connector housing and including two arm plates and an interconnecting bar which connects the two arm plates. The each arm plate comprises a provisional-retaining projection projecting from the arm plate toward the other arm plate, which abuts to the projection and causes to deform the arm plate so that the arm plate recedes to the other arm plate when the projection is inserted into the cam groove; and a cancellation lever extending from an edge of the arm plate and positioned at a counter side of the inlet with respect to the pivotal support, which cause to deform the arm plate so that the arm plate recedes to the other arm plate when the cancellation lever is pressed to come close to the other cancellation lever.

Lever-type connector

To provide a connector in which a compact design of the connector can be achieved, and besides a retaining force for preventing withdrawal of a metal terminal can be further increased, a connector housingincludes terminal receiving chambersinto which metal terminalscan be inserted, respectively, from a rear side, elastic lancesfor respectively retaining the metal terminalsto prevent rearward withdrawal of the metal terminals, an elastic deformation spacefor the lances, and a front holder insertion spacewhich is provided at a front side of the elastic deformation space in continuous relation thereto such that a front holder can be inserted into a predetermined position in the front holder insertion space from the front side. The front holderhas lance holding portionswhich enter the elastic deformation space to prevent elastic deformation of the lances when the front holder is mounted into the connector housing from the front side, and the lance and the lance holding portion have an engagement convex portionand a retaining portion, respectively, which can be engaged with each other to prevent forward movement of the front holder and also to transmit a rearward force, applied from the metal terminal to the lance, to the front holder.

Connector

To positively retain terminal retaining members provisionally and completely relative to a connector housing, a connectorincludes a connector housingfor receiving terminals, and a holderattached in a sliding manner to the connector housing. Terminal retaining membersare pivotally provided respectively at opening portionsof the connector housing. The holder includes first slanting portionsfor pushing the terminal retaining members into the respective opening portions so as to provisionally retain the terminal retaining members, and second slanting portionsfor further pushing the terminal retaining members into the opening portions so as to completely retain the terminal retaining members. When the retaining members are provisionally retained, a distal end of each retaining member abuts against the corresponding second slanting portion. The plurality of retaining members are provided, and the plurality of first slanting portions, as well the plurality of second slanting portions, are provided in corresponding relation to the plurality of retaining members, respectively.

A waterproof plug () for a waterproof connector includes a body () of a generally cylindrical shape. A wire () can be inserted into the body to be projected therefrom, and an outer peripheral surface () of the body can be press-contacted with an inner peripheral surface () of a cavity (), while an inner peripheral surface () of the body can be press-contacted with the wire (), and an insulation barrel () of a terminal () can compressively clamp the wire () through the body. An insertion hole () in the body is tapering such that a thickness t of a clamping portion () of the body is uniform along an axis thereof.

Waterproof plug for waterproof connector

A waterproof connector is provided with one or more terminals each including a contact, a first crimp portion and a second crimp portion, insulated cables respectively having leading conductor clamped by the first crimp portion, rubber plugs respectively fitted on the insulated cable, being clamped by the second crimp portion and a connector housing including terminal housing chambers respectively housing the terminals. The rubber plugs are fitted into the respective terminal housing chambers so as to be waterproof. Each of the second crimp portions has a larger width than height thereof in a state where the second crimp portion clamps the rubber plug.

Waterproof connector

Described are methods and apparatuses for tuning television channels that transmit either PSIP Transport Streams or non-PSIP Transport Streams. Specifically, PSIP Transport Streams contain PSIP sections that include a major channel number and minor channel numbers, whereas non-PSIP Transport Streams do not contain such PSIP sections. However, both PSIP and non-PSIP Transport Streams contain PAT sections. Upon receiving a PSIP Transport Stream from a television channel, the present methods and apparatuses directly obtain the major channel number and minor channel numbers from the PSIP section contained in the PSIP Transport Stream. Upon receiving a non-PSIP Transport Stream from a television channel, the present methods and apparatuses form the major channel number and minor channel numbers based on the information contained in the PAT sections. In so doing, the methods and apparatuses can process both PSIP and non-PSIP Transport Streams.

Connector having a position regulating structure

The invention provides a process for producing a coated Cu alloy having a surface which has a low coefficient of friction and a high resistance to abrasion and is suitable for fabricating connectors, charging-sockets of electric automobiles etc. The coated Cu alloy is produced by coating the surface of a copper alloy with Sn and heat treating the coated Cu alloy at a temperature in the range of 100-450&deg; C. for 0.5-24 hours. The Cu alloy which is coated with Sn consists of 1-41 wt % Zn with the balance being Cu and incidental impurities. By using the coated Cu alloy, the force of insertion, resistance to abrasion and resistance to corrosion of connectors can be significantly improved.

Process for the production of a coated copper alloy

A connector retaining construction in which retaining claws for retaining connectors in a holder member will not interfere with an external member, and are prevented from damage due to such interference. In the construction, connectors (31, 32), having terminals inserted and retained therein, is inserted into a holder member (11) through an opening (18) of the holder member (11), and the connectors (31, 32) are slid, with elongate guide projections (42) of the connector (31, 32) engaged respectively with guide rails (19) formed on the holder member (11), thereby retaining the connector (32) in the holder member (11). A retaining step portion (44) is formed at each of the elongate guide projections (42) of the connector (32). An elastically-deformable retaining claw (22) for engagement in the associated retaining step portion (44) is disposed along each of the guide rails (19), The retaining claw having such a width that it will not project outwardly from the guide rail (19).

Connector retaining construction

A female connector 30 is provided with a reciprocative and slidable slide member 13; an operation lever 20 rotatably coupled to the connector for sliding the slide member 13 within the connector; and a guide groove 14 and a guide pin 44 arranged to be engaged to the slide member 13 and a male connector 40. The operation lever 20 is rotated to introduce the male connector 40 into the female connector 30 so that the two connectors are connected to each other. A projection 27 arranged to be brought into contact with the outer surface of the male connector 40 when the guide groove 14 and the guide pin 44 have incompletely been connected to each other is integrally provided with a side wall 22 of the operation lever 20 so as to prevent rotation of the operation lever 20. Thus, the connector structure will resist breakage and deformation even if excessive force is exerted on the lever when attempting to secure a connection while the male and female connectors are not completely connected.

Structure for connecting connectors

Plural sub-connectors (13), where terminal housing chambers (29) for housing terminals (21) are formed, are inserted into a holding member (12). Double engagement members (31), which have engagement claw (33) sections to be engaged with the terminals (21) externally and abutting sections (34) to abut an inner surface of the holding member (12), are provided on an outer wall of the connector housing (22) of the male sub-connectors (13) so as to prevent the terminals (21) from slipping off.

Connector having a holder for male sub-connectors
