A char recycling system capable of easily determining whether or not a char exhausting pipe is blocked by char. The char recycling system comprises: a stand pipe () forming a vertically-downwards flowpath () through which char is conveyed; and a differential pressure gauge () that measures the pressure difference between the pressure in a downstream area () in the vertically-downwards flowpath () and the pressure in an upstream area () in the vertically-downwards flowpath (). The pressure difference fluctuates when char accumulates between the downstream area () and the upstream area () in the vertically-downwards flowpath (). As a result, this kind of char recovery system is capable of easily determining whether or not the vertically-downwards flowpath () is blocked by char, on the basis of the measured pressure difference.

Char recycling system and char conveyance method

Provided is an integrated coal gasification combined cycle equipped with: a gasifier that generates combustible gas from pulverized coal; a gas cooler; gas turbine equipment; an auxiliary fuel supply unit that supplies an auxiliary fuel to the gas turbine equipment; a heat recovery steam generator; steam turbine equipment; generators; and a circulation line unit that circulates cooling water. The heat recovery steam generator has a first medium-pressure coal economizer and a second medium-pressure coal economizer. When the combustible gas generated from the pulverized coal is burned, a serial heat exchange line is formed wherein cooling water passes through the first medium-pressure coal economizer, the second medium-pressure coal economizer, and the gas cooler. When the auxiliary fuel is burned, separate heat exchange lines are formed, wherein the cooling water separately passes through the first medium-pressure coal economizer and the second medium-pressure coal economizer.

Integrated gasification combined cycle and method for operating integrated gasification combined cycle

Provided is a gasifier cooling structure allowing the complexity of the furnace wall structure to be reduced to a minimum, allowing the configurability of headers and connecting pipes to be improved while maintaining as much as possible the ability to cool raw syngas. In the gasifier cooling structure, the raw syngas from a gasified carbonaceous solid fuel flows through the interior of a furnace wall formed inside a pressure vessel having a circular cross section, and the raw syngas is cooled by heat exchange with a fluid flowing inside a heat exchanger tube from a heat exchanger, whereof a plurality is provided within the furnace wall. The furnace wall has a polygonal structure wherein mutually orthogonal faces are linked by an oblique face in between, and whereof the cross sectional shape is such that the edge of the oblique face is shorter than the edges of the mutually orthogonal faces.

Gasifier cooling structure, gasifier, and gasifier annulus portion enlargement method

The reliability of backwashing valves constituted of first backwashing valves and second backwashing valves is ensured. A first backwashing valve (backwashing-gas rear valve) () that controls gas for backwashing and a second backwashing valve (backwashing-gas front valve) () that operates at slower speed than the first backwashing valve () are disposed, in a series including two or more thereof, at backwashing-gas introducing pipes individually provided for each of the filter blocks.

Method for backwashing filter

An object is to prevent blockage of a slag hole with char and slag, enabling stable operation of a gasification furnace. In a configuration in which a heat exchanger () is provided above a coal gasification portion (), the diameters (D, D) of the slag hole () and the throat portion () are set to three times or more the pitch (ST) of rows of heat exchange tubes (). By doing so, blockage of the slag hole () or the throat portion () with char and a sintered material () falling from the heat exchanger () is prevented, enabling stable operation of a coal gasification furnace ().

Gasification furnace, gasification power plant, and method of preventing blockage of slag hole in gasification furnance

In a gasification apparatus, a gasification furnace () having an octagonal hollow cross-sectional shape, a heat exchanger () having a quadrangular hollow cross-sectional shape, and a connection portion () which connects an upper portion of the gasification furnace () to a lower portion of the heat exchanger () are provided, thereby simplifying structures and enhancing efficiencies can be achieved.

Gasification apparatus

Provided is a gas cooler for cooling a produced gas on a side from which the produced gas exits, the produced gas being produced by partially oxidizing and gasifying a carbon-containing fuel in a gasification furnace inside a pressure vessel. A distance (SL) between tubes of a tube bundle of a heat exchanger provided inside the gas cooler is set such that the tubes are in contact with each other or adjacent to each other in a gas-flow direction of the produced gas. Since the tubes are in contact with each other or adjacent to each other, a particle flowing with the gas flow is only deposited as a deposited particle in a concave portion between the tubes, whereby the decrease in heat exchange efficiency caused by particle deposition can be suppressed.

Gas cooler, gasification furnace, and integrated gasification combined cycle for carbon-containing fuel

A gasifier () including a fluid communication channel () that communicates a fluid, which undergoes heat exchange in the furnace, and that generates syngas by gasifying fuel; gas purifying equipment that removes impurities contained in the syngas generated by the gasifier (); a gas turbine that is driven by the gas purified by the gas purifying equipment; and a heat exchanger that heats a fluid with exhaust expelled from the gas turbine. The fluid heated by the heat exchanger is supplied to the fluid communication channel () by being pressurized by pressurizing gas when performing warm-up of the gasifier ().

Gasification power generation plant

A pressure equalizing structure that includes: a gasification furnace () for gasifying a carbon-containing fuel; a pressure vessel () housing the gasification furnace (); an annulus section () filled with an inert gas and provided between the gasification furnace () and the pressure vessel (). A pressure equalizing part (), which is connected to the gasification furnace () to communicate between the inside of the gasification furnace () and the inside of the annulus section (), is provided in a region where the in-furnace gas temperature inside the gasification furnace () is higher than the annulus temperature inside the annulus section ().

Pressure equalizing structure and pressure equalizing method for gasification furnace apparatus

The present invention includes: a char feeding hopper body that feeds separated char toward a coal gasifier; a char communicating tube that communicates with a bottom portion of the char feeding hopper body and extends in a vertical axis direction; fluid gas feeding means that is provided at a bottom portion side of the char feeding hopper body and feeds fluid gas to an inside thereof; a radiation source section that emits &#x3b3;-rays toward an inside of the char communicating tube in which a level of the char reaches a level Hwhich is the same level as a level Hof the char in the char feeding hopper as a result of feeding of the fluid gas; and a &#x3b3;-ray detector that is provided along a vertical axis direction of the char communicating tube and detects the emitted &#x3b3;-rays.

A gasification apparatus that is capable of appropriately controlling a differential pressure variation between the interior of a pressure vessel and the interior of a gasification furnace, and of simplifying a structure, by providing: a pressure vessel which forms a hollow shape; a gasification furnace which forms a hollow shape, and which is positioned inside the pressure vessel with a space section therebetween; a heat exchanger positioned at the upper section of the gasification furnace; a gas nozzle which supplies seal gas to the lower section of the space section; a char-receiving section provided above the heat exchanger in the space section; a pressure equalizer of which one end communicates with the interior of the gasification furnace, and the other end opens into the char-receiving section; and a gas flow channel which passes vertically through a side section of the char-receiving section.

A ground flare system that can enhance the removal rate of dust and other such impurities contained in exhaust gas to be processed. The ground flare system that performs an incineration process on processing target gas and emits the processed gas to the atmosphere includes: a ground flare that combusts the processing target gas; a knock-out drum that is placed upstream of the ground flare and reduces a flow velocity of the processing target gas introduced thereto; a seal drum for backfire prevention placed upstream of the ground flare; a gas introducing pipe that introduces the processing target gas into the knock-out drum and/or the seal drum; and a water film forming unit that is provided inside of the gas introducing pipe and forms a water film of spray water in a direction that intersects with a flow direction of the processing target gas.

Flare system and method for reducing dust therefrom

A bin system and a char recovery unit are provided with: a bin for storing char; three char discharge lines placed at the predetermined slope angle for causing the char to fall with the force of gravity so as to discharge the char into the bin; four switching lines placed at the predetermined slope angle for causing the char to fall with the force of gravity so as to feed the char stored in the bin; and assist gas feed units as assist devices for assisting the flow of the char that falls with the force of gravity through the char discharge lines. This allows for equipment downsizing.

In a porous filter, dust that has been collected from a gas through a filter group installed in a vessel body onto filter surfaces is removed from the filter surfaces by backwashing in which the supply and stoppage of a high-pressure gas ejected toward porous filter elements are repeated by means of a valve operation. Backwash tanks having upstream backwash valves and downstream backwash valves are installed in backwash pipes through which the high-pressure gas is guided from high-pressure-gas supply equipment to backwash nozzles for ejecting the backwash high-pressure gas toward the filter group to form a backwash high-pressure-medium supply line. The outlet pressure of the high-pressure-gas supply equipment is set to '1/critical pressure ratio' or more times a filter inlet gas pressure so that the flow speed of the high-pressure gas ejected from the backwash nozzle is the speed of sound or higher.

Dust-removing method

A filter regeneration apparatus of a coal gasification system having a filter for capturing char (unburned matter) present in exhaust gas at an exhaust gas passage communicating with exhaust gas source including a coal gasification furnace, fills the filter container with inactive gas having oxygen concentration of less than 5 vol. % and heat the filter to a target temperature of 400 to 450&#xb0; C. and feed ashing gas having oxygen concentration of 5 to 15 vol. %, thereby ashing char in the filter. This method and apparatus achieve ashing of char in a safe manner and shortens the time of regenerating the filter by controlling the oxygen concentration in the ashing gas and the filter temperature constantly to reach preset target values.
