An in-vehicle device includes a travel planning portion configured to plan, as a travel plan, at least positioning of a vehicle during traveling according to a driving policy; and a verification portion that is configured to: evaluate the travel plan set by the travel planning portion based on driving rule determination information in conformity with a traffic rule; and determine whether to permit the travel plan based on an evaluation result. The travel planning portion is configured to plan positioning of the vehicle according to the driving policy that is set to reduce a frequency of occurrence of a blind area entry situation under which a different vehicle other than the vehicle causes a moving object other than the different vehicle to be positioned within a blind area of a detection range for a periphery monitoring sensor that is configured to monitor surroundings of the vehicle.

In-vehicle device and driving assist method

An automatic drive device includes a fusion unit recognizing travel environment of a vehicle based on an output signal of a surrounding monitoring sensor and a control planning unit generating a control plan based on a recognition result of the fusion unit. A diagnostic device includes an abnormality detection unit that detects an abnormality of a field recognition system from the surrounding monitoring sensor to the fusion unit by monitoring the output signal of the surrounding monitoring sensor and the recognition result of the fusion unit over time. The diagnostic device requests the control planning unit to perform MRM based on a detection of the abnormality of the recognition system by the abnormality detection unit.

Parking space recognition apparatus and parking space recognition system

An on-board camera captures an image of a travel lane ahead of an own vehicle. At least one state acquisition apparatus acquires an acquired value indicating a state of the own vehicle. A travel lane marking recognition system recognizes a travel lane marking that demarcates the travel lane from an image captured by the on-board camera. The travel lane marking recognition system sets a reliability level of the recognized travel lane marking based on the acquired value of the at least one state acquisition apparatus. When the reliability level is higher than a first predetermined threshold, the travel lane marking recognition system performs driving control of the own vehicle based on the recognized travel lane marking. When the reliability level is lower than the first predetermined threshold, the travel lane marking recognition system performs a deviation warning of deviation from the travel lane based on the recognized travel lane marking.

Travel lane marking recognition system

A traffic lane marking recognition apparatus includes a candidate detecting unit, a gap detecting unit, and a recognition reducing unit. The candidate detecting unit detects a lane dividing line candidate which is a candidate for a lane dividing line that defines a traffic lane on a road, based on an image of the road captured by an on-board camera that is mounted in a vehicle. The gap detecting unit detects a gap included in the lane dividing line candidate detected by the candidate detecting unit. When the gap is detected by the gap detecting unit, the recognition reducing unit reduces a probability of recognition of the lane dividing line candidate as a lane dividing line to a first probability that is lower than the probability when the gap detecting unit does not detect the gap, in a region from the gap closest to the vehicle towards a direction away from the vehicle.

Traffic lane marking recognition apparatus and traffic lane marking recognition program

In a lane boundary line recognition device, an extraction unit extracts lane boundary line candidates from image acquired by an in-vehicle camera. A position estimation unit estimates a position of each lane boundary line based on drive lane information containing a number of drive lanes on a roadway and a width of each drive lane when (a) and (b) are satisfied, (a) when an own vehicle drives on an own vehicle lane specified by the drive lane specifying unit, and (b) when the lane boundary line candidate corresponds to lane boundary lines of the own vehicle lane. A likelihood calculation unit increases a likelihood of the lane boundary line candidate when a distance between a position of the lane boundary line candidate and an estimated position of the lane boundary line candidate obtained by the drive lane boundary line position estimation unit is within a predetermined range.

Lane boundary line recognition device

A torque sensor includes: a torsion bar; a multi-pole magnet; a pair of yokes on an outside of the multi-pole magnet in a radial direction and providing a magnetic circuit in a magnetic field generated by the multi-pole magnet; and a pair of magnetic sensors arranged along a circumferential direction. Each magnetic sensor includes a magnetism sensing part for detecting a magnetic flux density generated in the magnetic circuit, and outputs a detection signal to an external computing device. The magnetic sensors output the detection signals to the external computing device such that the computing device calculates a sum of outputs or a difference of outputs of the magnetic sensors so as to cancel a variation of the outputs produced by a magnetic flux generated from the multi-pole magnet and directly reaching the magnetism sensing parts.

Torque sensor

A torsion bar has first and second end portions that are fixed to input and output shafts, respectively, to coaxially connect between the input and output shafts. A multipolar magnet is fixed to the input shaft. First and second magnetic yokes are fixed to the output shaft. Magnetic sensors are held between magnetic flux collecting portions of first and second magnetic flux collecting rings, which are magnetically coupled to the first and second magnetic yokes, respectively. In each of the magnetic flux collecting portion, a connecting section and a mounting section are configured such that a width of the connecting section is smaller than a width of the mounting section.

Torque sensor apparatus

An exhaust gas purifying system for a diesel engine has an ECU, a passage of exhaust gas, a unit having SCR catalyst, a NOx sensor placed at a downstream side of the unit, and a urea water adding valve placed at an upstream side of the unit. The SCR catalyst in the unit selectively adsorbs ammonia, and selectively purifies NOx contained in an exhaust gas emitted from the diesel engine by the adsorbed ammonia. The ECU changes the urea water adding amount, and performs abnormality diagnosis based on the detection result of the NOx sensor while changing an adding amount of the urea water. The ECU uses a first condition to indicate the presence of an excess NOx amount in the exhaust gas, and a second condition to indicate there is no error cause by the ammonia adsorption on the SCR catalyst.

Exhaust gas purifying device for internal combustion engine

An exhaust emission control device is used for an engine and is applied to an exhaust gas purifying system. The system has an NOx catalyst disposed in an exhaust passage of the engine to promote selective purification of NOx in exhaust gas performed by ammonia, which is a reducing agent for reducing NOx, and a reducing agent adding device for adding the reducing agent to an upstream side of the catalyst in a flow direction of exhaust gas. The device includes a catalyst temperature detecting device for detecting temperature of the catalyst, a reaction ratio calculating device for calculating a reaction ratio, which is a ratio of a reaction amount of ammonia to a reaction amount of NOx in the catalyst, based on the temperature of the catalyst, and an ammonia consumed amount calculating device for calculating a consumed amount of ammonia in the catalyst based on the reaction ratio.

Exhaust emission control device for internal combustion

An SCR catalyst is provided in an exhaust pipe of an engine and a urea solution addition valve is provided upstream of the SCR catalyst in the exhaust pipe. An ECU controls urea solution addition quantity of the urea solution addition valve based on ammonia adsorption quantity to the SCR catalyst. The ECU calculates the ammonia adsorption quantity in the SCR catalyst based on time-series data of an ammonia balance between ammonia supply to the SCR catalyst accompanying the urea solution addition of the urea solution addition valve and ammonia consumption in the SCR catalyst. The ECU calculates NOx quantity introduced into the SCR catalyst or a parameter correlated with the NOx quantity and performs initialization of the ammonia adsorption quantity at timing decided based on a result of the calculation.

Exhaust gas purification device of internal combustion engine

An SCR catalyst is provided in an exhaust pipe of an engine and a urea solution addition valve is provided upstream of the SCR catalyst in the exhaust pipe. An ECU calculates ammonia adsorption quantity of the SCR catalyst and controls urea solution addition quantity, which is added by the urea solution addition valve, based on the ammonia adsorption quantity. The ECU obtains temperature of the SCR catalyst or temperature information correlated with the temperature through measurement or estimation. The ECU switches an execution mode of the urea solution addition control based on the catalyst temperature or the temperature information. Thus, reducing agent addition control can be performed suitably and eventually NOx purification in a NOx catalyst (i.e., SCR catalyst) can be performed suitably.

An exhaust emission control device reduces nitrogen oxide in exhaust air from an engine. The device includes an exhaust pipe, a catalyst, a supply device, a NOx detecting device, and a control device. The pipe defines a passage for the exhaust air. The catalyst is disposed in the pipe and promotes reduction reaction of the nitrogen oxide. The supply device supplies an additive agent, which is used for the reaction, to an upstream side of the catalyst in the exhaust air flow direction. The detecting device detects the nitrogen oxide included in the exhaust airs which has passed through the catalyst. The control device controls the supply device. The control device determines a deterioration state of the catalyst based on a result detected by the detecting device and reduces an amount of the additive agent, which is supplied, according to the determined deterioration state.

Exhaust emission control device

A turbine wheel of a turbocharger has a turbine blade. The turbine blade has a fin shape of which width in the rotation direction of the turbocharger is narrow, and is projected from the base portion of the turbine wheel. An inclined part of the turbine blade is inclined with respect to the rotation direction of the turbocharger. A coil is disposed so that the inclined part passes nearby as the turbine wheel rotates in a posture that an end in the center axis direction is directed toward the turbocharger. A detector detects a change in inductance, which occurs when the inclined part of the coil passes nearby.
