An injection molding machine configured so that items of molding conditions of which values are not changed can be set selectively when a set of molding conditions is read from a storage device so that values for the read molding condition items are set as the set values. Installation setting is established for the set items of those molding conditions of which set values are prohibited from being changed. When a set of predetermined values of the molding conditions is read from the storage device and set collectively, the set values for only those set items which are not designated to the installation setting are rewritten to the read values without changing the set values for the items designated to the installation setting. If a password with which the installation setting can be designated and canceled is entered, an installation setting mode is established, whereupon the installation setting for the set items can be designated or canceled. The set values for the items designated to the installation setting cannot be changed. If the set of molding conditions is read from the storage device and set collectively, therefore, the set values are fixed to the original ones without being changed. The set values for the items designated to the installation setting can be changed only if a special password is entered.

Injection molding machine

A method of indicating an open/close state of a check valve of an injection molding machine simply and more accurately. The method detects screw rotational force during injection and displays in wave form on the screen of a display device changes in detected rotational force. An open/close state of the check valve can be indicated based on the waveform pattern displayed on the display screen because the screw rotational force waveform pattern changes when the check valve closes. From the fact that the screw rotational force waveform pattern changes when the check valve closes, the open/close state of the check valve can be indicated from the displayed waveform.

Method of indicating an open/close state of a check valve of an injection molding machine

There is provided the torque limiter for limiting a torque command to be output when pressure feedback control of the pressure holding step is performed. After the start of the pressure holding step, the torque limiter limits output torque of the servomotor for injection for a predetermined time period after the screw starts to move backward. As a result, the output torque in the backward direction of the screw is limited and reduced, whereby the speed of backward movement of the screw is reduced, and decrease of the pressure applied to the resin becomes moderate, thus abrupt drop of the pressure can be avoided.

Controller for injection molding machine

A display apparatus for an injection molding machine which permits setting items unalterable during operation of the injection molding machine to be identified on the screen. When the injection molding machine is not in operation, the setting items on the screen are shown in a normal first display appearance. During operation of the machine, unalterable setting items, among the setting items on the screen, are shown in a second display appearance to be distinguished from the first display appearance. Since setting items that are normally alterable but should not be altered during operation of the injection molding machine are displayed in the second display appearance in a distinguishable manner, such setting items can be clearly identified, thus improving operability.

Display apparatus for injection molding machine

An injection molding machine that distinctively displays operation parameters attributed to molds, which are set by designating a mold to be used, and the other operation parameters, to thereby prevent setting errors. The machine has storage means for storing and saving the operation parameters attributed to molds, which are determined by molds, with respect to each mold, and storage means for operation parameters to be applied for operating the injection molding machine. In the storage means for operation parameters to be applied, the stored operation parameters attributed to molds are read out to be set, and the other operation parameters are each stored. When the operation parameters stored in the storage means for operation parameters to be applied are set and displayed, the display appearances of the operation parameters attributed to molds and that of the other operation parameters are differentiated from each other. In the drawings, parameters provided with &#x2605; are operation parameters attributed to molds, and those not provided with &#x2605; are the other parameters. The other operation parameters that need to be set and the operation parameters attributed to molds, which hardly need to be altered, are displayed distinctively, resulting in a reduction in setting errors.

A monitoring device and a monitoring method for an injection molding machine, in which a trend chart is displayed on a common axis so that changes of set values of molding conditions and changes of measured values of monitoring items can be grasped correspondingly. A history of the measured values of the monitoring items is stored, and a change history of the set values of the molding conditions is also stored. An operator sets monitoring items and molding condition items to be displayed. In doing this, the operator sets a display range such that molding condition items having changed set values within the display range are displayed and selected. Alternatively, coefficients of correlation between the measured values of the selected monitoring items and the set values of the molding conditions are obtained, and the molding condition items are displayed in the order of priority of correlation and selected. For example, a metering time, minimum cushion amount, and peak pressure are selected as the monitoring items, and a first stage injection speed and barrel 3 temperature as the molding condition items. Thus, the trend chart is displayed with a time base on its abscissa axis, and the influence of the set values on the measured values can be grasped with ease.

Monitoring device and monitoring method for injection molding machine

A molding information printing system, including a network; a molding machine connected to the network; a printer for printing the molding information of the molding machine; a print control section connected to the network independently of the molding machine, for controlling the printer for printing of the molding information; and an instructing section for instructing printing of the molding information and transferring a command to the print control section through the network. The molding machine includes a control unit connected to the network, and the instructing section is provided in the control unit. Also, the system includes a computer connected to the network independently of the molding machine, and the print control section is provided in the computer.

Molding information printing system

Variables such as injection pressure and injection velocity are detected at a predetermined sampling cycle for each molding cycle and the variables for a plurality of past molding cycles starting from the latest molding cycle are stored. Change patterns of the stored variables of the respective molding cycles are displayed in the form of graphs in which the first axis represents time (the number of times of sampling), the second axis represents the variable values, and the third axis represents the molding cycle.

An information transmitting system for use in a factory, which is capable of transmitting information among controllers simply without the complicated lead-around of a communication line nor the need of complicated communication protocol. A controller for every molding cell Ai, where i&equals;1,2 . . . max and max is a maximum number of molding cells, a conveyance controller to control an automatic conveyor, a stock cell and a centralized controller are connected to each other via an Ethernet line to provide a common information storage unit, and information is transmitted among the controllers through the common information storage unit. Since there is no need of parallel communication lines between the controllers, an I/O port or a communication line may be prevented from increasing in number and the lead-around of the communication line is prevented from being complicated, resulting in a reduction of cost required for setting up the devices.

Information transmitting system for use in factory

A method of and an apparatus for analyzing alarms of an injection molding machine, in which the relation between the alarm and the production time can be grasped clearly and also various kinds of statistical processing can be performed in accordance with operator's request. The ratio of the number of alarm occurrences and the occurrence time to an assigned production time is analyzed and displayed by numerical values or a graph. Thereby, an effect caused by the length of substantial operating time (production time) of injection molding machine can be eliminated, and the occurrence of alarms, which is an essential problem, can be evaluated objectively.
