A detector that detects an internal state of a plate-shaped object including a fiber-reinforced resin. The detector includes an exciter that applies, to a surface of the object, ultrasonic vibrations of Lamb waves, in a selected frequency range where only a zero-order fundamental wave symmetric mode and a zero-order fundamental wave asymmetric mode of the Lamb waves appear, a vibration detector that detects the applied ultrasonic vibrations propagating in the object, and an internal state estimation calculator that estimates the internal state of the object, by obtaining a propagation time of the ultrasonic vibrations propagating in the object corresponding to each frequency of the Lamb waves, based on the detection result of the vibration detector, estimating the internal state based on a delay time of the propagation time relative to a reference propagation time of the object for each frequency in the selected frequency range, and outputting the estimated internal state.

A braking control apparatus to be installed an electric vehicle includes an acceleration and deceleration operation member, a controller, and a recognizer. The acceleration and deceleration operation member receives an acceleration request in accordance with an operation amount in a first direction from a neutral position, and receive a deceleration request in accordance with an operation amount in a second direction from the neutral position. The controller controls an amount of power regenerated by a rotary electric machine driven by wheels in accordance with the operation amount in the second direction. The recognizer recognizes a preceding vehicle traveling ahead of the electric vehicle. Upon detection of the preceding vehicle at a relative distance from the electric vehicle that is equal to or less than a threshold, the controller performs braking suppression control to decrease the amount of power regenerated in accordance with the operation amount in the second direction.

When a continuous imaging mode is set while a movie image is being recorded, continuous imaging is performed. When a movie image pick-up mode is set, a CCD is brought into a movie image readout mode, in which movie image data representing a movie image is periodically outputted. An image corresponding to one of frames constituting the movie image is of a relatively low image quality. When a determination switch is pressed, the CCD enters a movie image recording mode, in which the movie image data is recorded on a memory card. When a shutter release button is pressed in a case where the movie image recording mode is set, the CCD enters a still image recording mode, in which still image data of a relatively high image quality is outputted. Until still image data corresponding to a predetermined number of continuously imaged frames are obtained, the continuous imaging is repeated. Digital movie camera and method of controlling operations thereof

First to third processors are arranged in a digital camera, one image (one frame) obtained by one photographing operation is divided into three regions (assigned regions), and photographing signal processing is shared by the first to third processors. Digital image signals of one image are divided and captured by the first to third processors while setting overlapping regions as regions required for photographing signal processing for the assigned regions. For this reason, the processors can also perform the photographing signal processing including an interpolating process to pixels near joined portions between the assigned regions. More specifically, since the photographing signal processing for the digital image data of one image can be shared by the plurality of processors and performed as parallel processing without causing an image breakage, an image capture interval can be shortened.

Digital camera

An electronic still camera which is able to substantially lessen the amount of trouble of inserting and drawing a PC card during photographing or when image data are transferred to a host computer such as a laptop computer, and which is able to increase the number of photographing. The electronic still camera has the PC card which is inserted into or drawn out from a camera body, which has the same shape as the PC card. The PC card or the camera body shaped like the PC card is inserted into a PC card slot of the host computer to transmit and receive the image data, etc. A camera casing including a taking lens, etc. is mounted in the camera body shaped like the PC card, and a sheet-like battery is provided in the camera body. The taking lens is capable of projecting from and retracting into the camera body.

A media ID specific to a memory card is recorded on the memory card and a device ID specific to a camera is stored in the camera. If image data and voice data are obtained, these items of data are subjected to a first encryption operation using the device ID as an encryption key. The encrypted data is subjected to a second encryption operation using the media ID as an encryption key, resulting in doubly encrypted data. At playback, the media ID is read from the memory card and is subjected to a first decryption operation. The device ID is read from a device-ID memory and a second decryption operation is performed using the device ID as a decryption key. These IDs cannot be rewritten and decryption cannot be carried out unless these IDs are used. Even if data is copied without authorization, therefore, the data cannot be decrypted. This makes it possible to prevent the unauthorized utilization of the data.

The invention proposes a technique of preventing a propagation of a damage in a reinforcing layer to a toric air bag even if the reinforcing layer arranged on an outer peripheral side of the toric air bag in a safety tire to suppress an unnecessary size growth of the toric air bag and allowed to a proper expansion deformation of the toric air bag in the puncture of the tire or the like is damaged by foreign matters entered through a puncture hole into the tire, in which the reinforcing layer separately arranged from the toric air bag is fitted on the outer peripheral side of the toric air bag having a hollow torus shape over its full periphery to suppress the propagation of the damage in the reinforcing layer to the toric air bag through an interface layer therebetween.

Toric reinforced air bag for safety tire and method of producing the same as well as method of producing shaped body for reinforcing layer

There is proposed a toric air bag for a safety tire capable of sufficiently and equally contacting with a full inner face of a tire in the expansion-deformation of the toric air bag by a drop of an internal pressure in the tire, wherein at least an expansion-deforming portion of the toric air bag having a hollow torus shape as a whole is constructed with a tension support member, and to the expansion-deforming portion is given a property indicating a characteristic of extension ratio-tensile force that tensile force per unit width is substantially and gradually increased with the increase of elongation through the expansion-deformation.

A pedal bracket structure wherein a pedal lever is rotatably supported in the vicinity of the rear end portion of a pedal bracket fixed to a toe board at the front end portion thereof, a rigidity supplementing portion is formed in the vicinity of the aforesaid front end portion and a brittle portion is formed at the rear end portion of the rigidity supplementing portion. Only with a simple structural modification in which the rigidity supplementing portion is provided contiguously with the brittle portion formed to promote the absorption of impact by deformation between a mounting portion to the toe board and the brittle portion. While the pedal bracket is made to deform longitudinally easily through the formation of the brittle portion, the pedal bracket provides such a superior rigid feeling that the driver feels no uncertainty in operating the pedal.

A solid-state imaging apparatus includes an image pick-up section in which photosensitive devices are arranged in, e.g., a honeycomb G square lattice, RB full-checker pattern due to shifted pixels. Regions void of the photosensitive devices are assumed to be virtual photosensitive devices. A signal processing section generates data for the virtual photosensitive devices by using the data of surrounding photosensitive devices while attaching importance to accurate color reproduction and horizontal and/or vertical resolution. As a result, the number of pixel data are increased in a square lattice arrangement. Therefore, high quality image signals are readily achievable with a smaller number of photosensitive devices than conventional with a conventional apparatus. Interpolation can be executed with the high quality signals to the limit of resolution with an adequate circuit scale. The honeycomb arrangement guarantees the required size of the individual pixel and thereby the sensitivity of the entire apparatus while increasing yield on a production line. False colors particular to a single photosensitive portion can be reduced by, e.g., uniform interpolation. Particularly, when a digital camera is constructed by using an imaging apparatus including optics operable with a silver halide sensitive type of film, false colors can be reduced without resorting to an optical low pass filter.
