A disinfection system of a contact lens comprising immersing the contact lens in a disinfecting solution containing hydrogen peroxide in a concentration of 1 to 10% and neutralizing the hydrogen peroxide in the disinfecting solution through contact with a metal catalyst, where the disinfecting solution contains an organic carboxylic acid or a salt of the organic carboxylic acid, the organic carboxylic acid having a structure in which a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group are bonded to one carbon atom; the disinfecting solution is adjusted to have a pH of 6 to 8; and the disinfecting solution after the neutralization is adjusted to have an osmotic pressure of 250 to 350 mOsm.

An ocular device case with a new structure that can solve unexpected problems in the related art, for example, adverse effects on user's eyes by splashes of treatment liquid upon pouring the treatment liquid into the device case from a separate refill container. In a device case including: a case body accommodating treatment liquid with ocular devices such as a contact lens; and a lid, a container receiving portion is provided such that a spout of a refill container is brought into contact with the refill receiving portion so as to allow the treatment liquid to flow into the device case.

A disinfecting solution for a nonionic soft contact lens, which solution contains polylysine as a disinfectant, and further contains: 0.1-1.0% by weight of a component (A) which is an acidic tonicity agent having at least one carboxyl group; 0.10-1.25% by weight of a component (B) which is a basic tonicity agent having an amino group; and 0.1-2.0% by weight of a component (C) which is at least one of a nonionic tonicity agent and an amphoteric tonicity agent, wherein each of the components (A) to (C) has a molecular weight of not larger than 200, and a ratio of a molar concentration of the component (A) to a molar concentration of the component (B) is not larger than 1.2. The disinfecting solution has a pH of 6.5-8.0, an osmotic pressure of 250-330 mOsm/kg and an electric conductivity of 130-750 mS/m.

Disinfectant solution for nonionic soft contact lenses

Providing a system which can exhibit a desired effect of improving hydrophilicity of a contact lens without causing adverse influences on sense of use of the contact lens and a cleaning effect, and which can effectively prevent adhesion of lipid stain. Also providing a packaging solution for the contact lens which can effectively suppress or prevent reduction of its viscosity with time even when the packaging solution is sterilized by heating. The contact lens is immersed in an aqueous solution which contains a low-molecular weight hyaluronic acid having a molecular weight of not higher than 80,000, or a salt or derivative thereof, and which has a pH of 6.0-8.0 and an osmotic pressure of 220-380 mOsm.

System for improving hydrophilicity of contact lens and application of the same to packaging of contact lens

A contact lens case including a container main body provided with a housing recess for storing a contact lens and a liquid agent, and a lid that is connected to the container main body via a hinge in a freely openable and closable manner. A lens holding body is displaceably housed in the housing recess, and by connecting the lid and the lens holding body via a connecting member, the lens holding body can undergo rising and falling displacement following open and close action of the lid around the hinge. A displacement restricting member is provided that restricts a direction of the rising and falling displacement of the lens holding body to the vertical direction that coincides with a depth direction of the housing recess.

Provided is a contact lens case of a novel structure that will effectively supplement the sterilization effect which was insufficient in the past with non-heating type disinfectant methods such as the MPS method and hydrogen peroxide method, making it possible to realize an effective sterilization process on soft contact lenses. In a storage solution with a sterilizing action, a slanted loading member is provided, wherein a convex spherical lens loading surface is formed from an antimicrobial material and a contact lens is held in a slanted state such that a geometric center of the contact lens loaded on the lens loading surface is located at a position separated from a top of the lens loading surface.

Package suitable for temporarily storing contact lenses

Disclosed is a container having a novel structure for storing contact lenses by which biofilm formation can be prevented at a high cost efficiency and from which lenses can be easily taken out. A container for storing contact lenses wherein the inner face of a dish-shaped storage chamber in a case is entirely made of a radius of curvature which is a smooth face with no irregularity and shows a continuous change, the inner face entirely comprises a smooth face with a surface roughness of 60 nm or less, and the solution capacity of the dish-shaped storage chamber is set to 3.8 mL or more.

A liquid preparation for a contact lens is provided, including at least one disinfectant selected from the group consisting of germicidal biguanides and germicidal quaternary ammonium salts (Component A), glycolic acid and/or asparatic acid (Component B), and 2-amino-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol or a salt thereof (Component C). Component B and Component C are provided in a sufficient amount to fulfill a predetermined molar ratio.

Liquid preparation for contact lens comprising a disinfectant and buffer mixture

An ophthalmic solution or contact lens solution comprising at least one germicidal/preservative component. The ophthalmic solution further comprises at least one selected amino-acid-based component, 0-0.2 wt. % of sodium chloride, and 0-0.5 wt. % of phosphate. The contact lens solution further comprises at least one selected acidic component and 0-0.2 wt. % of sodium chloride. Alternatively, the contact lens solution further comprises at least one selected amino-acid-based component, at least one selected acidic compound, and 0-0.2 wt. % of sodium chloride.
