The present invention provides a polyvinyl chloride-based rigid molded product containing 10 to 40 parts by weight of calcium carbonate having an average primary particle size of 0.01 to 0.3 &#x3bc;m per 100 parts by weight of a polyvinyl chloride-based resin having an average polymerization degree of 500 to 1,500, wherein a variation coefficient of the number of calcium carbonate particles in partitioning analysis of a cross section of the molded product is 15% or less, and a method for manufacturing the same.

Polyvinyl chloride-based rigid molded products and method for manufacturing the same

An ink for inkjet recording containing a vehicle, coloring agents dispersed therein, and a dispersing agent for the coloring agents as required, is provided. The vehicle contains at least a first solvent component and a second solvent component. The first solvent component has the lowest boiling point among the components in the ink, and has a higher viscosity than the ink. The second solvent component has a higher boiling point than the first one. The boiling point of the first solvent component is preferably 280 degree C. or below, and the content thereof is preferably 10 to 80% by weight based on the total weight of the ink. Even when the ink is printed on non-coated papers, the vehicle penetrates little in the thickness direction and bleeds little in the horizontal direction. Clogging in the nozzles can be prevented effectively using the ink even when it has been left in an open atmosphere for a long time.

Ink for inkjet recording

To provide a non-aqueous ink composition which is small in generation of strike through or smear marks and free from the problem of clogging of the nozzle. A non-aqueous ink composition includes solvent, dispersant and coloring material of pigment or dye. The solvent contains therein at least not smaller than 10% by weight non-polar organic solvent which is not higher than 260&#xb0; C. in 50% running point and at least not smaller than 20% by weight polar organic solvent which is not lower than 300&#xb0; C. in 50% running point.

Non-aqueous ink composition

A non-aqueous ink composition includes pigment, solvent and dispersant. The dispersant has an ester structure and the solvent contains not smaller than 60% by weight polar organic solvent. The polar organic solvent contains not smaller than 10% by weight ester solvent.

The invention discloses a method for counting foreign matter particles in a vinyl chloride resin powder comprising the steps of: forming an aqueous dispersion of the resin particles in a vessel having a transparent bottom, allowing the particles to settle forming a layer together with the foreign matter particles and viewing the layer of the deposited particles through the transparent bottom of the vessel to count the foreign matter particles in the deposited layer. The invention also provides an apparatus system for automatically counting foreign matter particles which comprises a vessel having a transparent bottom, a feed means for the resin powder, a water supply means, a stirrer means to form an aqueous dispersion in the vessel, a viewing means such as a CCD camera for recording the bottom image of the deposited layer through the transparent bottom of the vessel, and a control means for bringing the various parts of the system into a sequential linkage motion.

Method for counting foreign matter particles in vinyl chloride-based resin powder and apparatus system therefor

A resin composition for low expansion moldings which comprises (A) 20 to 80 parts by weight of a vinyl chloride resin having an average degree of polymerization of from 500 to 1700 and (B) correspondingly from 80 to 20 parts by weight of a copolymer made of 60 to 90 parts by weight a polymerizable monomer mixture consisting of 20 to 40 wt % of acrylonitrile, 20 to 60 wt % of .alpha.-methylstyrene and 20 to 40 wt % of styrene and, correspondingly, 40 to 10 parts by weight of a crosslinked acrylic rubber. The resin composition further comprises (C) 0.5 to 30 parts by weight of an acrylic resin having a reduced viscosity of not less than 3.0 dl/g when measured by use of a chloroform solution of the acrylic resin at a concentration of 0.1 g/100 ml, (D) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a thermally decomposable rosining agent, and (E) from 1 to 10 parts by weight of a stabilizer, each based on 100 parts by weight of a mixture of the components (A) and (B).

Resin composition for low expansion moldings

In preparing a matte vinyl chloride polymer by suspension polymerizing a monomeric charge comprising monomeric vinyl chloride in an aqueous medium, polymerization is started in the presence of 0.05-0.25 part by weight of diallyl phthalate per 100 parts by weight of the monomeric charge, and polymerization is continued while adding 0.01-0.15 part by weight of 1,6-hexanediol di(meth)acrylate per 100 parts by weight of the monomeric charge when the rate of polymerization is in the range of 20-60%. There is produced a matte vinyl chloride-diallyl phthalate copolymer having a tetrahydrofuran-insoluble gel content of 0.5-2.5% by weight in a reproducible manner. A composition prepared by blending the copolymer with a plasticizer has minimized fish-eyes and improved matting effect.

Preparation of matte vinyl chloride polymer and composition thereof

A vinyl chloride based resin composition including (a) 100 parts by weight of at least one member of resin selected from; a vinyl chloride polymer or vinyl chloride based copolymer whose mean degree of polymerization is 500 to 1000; and a vinyl chloride based copolymer, of which an insoluble part in tetrahydrofuran is 1 to 50 parts by weight, a swelling value in tetrahydrofuran is at least 5.0 and a mean degree of polymerization of a soluble part in tetrahydrofuran is 500 to 1500, which is a copolymer of vinyl chloride monomers and monomers having at least 2 ethylenic double bonds in a molecule. The resin composition also includes (b) 1 to 30 parts by weight of a paste resin of a vinyl chloride polymer or vinyl chloride copolymer whose mean grain size is 2 .mu.m or less and mean degree of polymerization is 500 to 2000. The resin composition further includes (c) 30 to 200 parts by weight of a plasticizer and (d) 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of a water-containing silicic acid or silicic anhydride whose mean grain size is 5 .mu.m or less and has excellent powder fluidity characteristics (workability), when repeatedly heated. The moldings obtained by power slush molding of this resin compound are remarkably improved in their dull finishing characteristics and resistance to heat distortion.

Composition of vinyl chloride based resin and its moldings

The polyvinyl chloride resin composition of the invention is highly heat-resistant as a result of compounding with an organic tin mercaptide compound as a heat stabilizer but is still free from the problem of the unpleasant odor emitted by the mercaptide compound owing to a specific deodorizing agent compounded therewith so that the composition is suitable as a molding resin composition for food containers. The above mentioned deodorizing agent is a diterpenic acid such as abietic acid or a rosin which is a crude mixture of several kinds of diterpenic acids obtained as a natural product.

The invention provides a novel method for the preparation of a foamed body of a vinyl chloride-based resin composition having a very fine and uniform cellular structure in a continuous process with outstandingly low costs. The method utilizes a binary volatilizable blowing agent composed of (i) a first volatilizable organic compound which is a halogenated or unhalogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon boiling at 90.degree. C. or below and (ii) a second volatilizable organic compound selected from halogenated or unhalogenated aromatic hydrocarbons, ethers, ketones and esters having a specified solubility parameter in consideration of the compatibility with the vinyl chloride-based resin. The process is performed preferably by use of an extruder and the resin composition heated and at least partly melted in the cylinder of the extruder is impregnated with the volatilizable blowing agent pressurized into the cylinder so as to be uniformly distributed throughout the mass of the resin composition under kneading before the resin composition is extruded out of the extruder through the die.
