An adherent cell culture substrate, which is a sheet-shaped substrate used for producing a culture vessel for adherent cells, includes a groove including a crest-shaped portion and a valley-shaped portion on one surface side of the substrate, in which a distance from a top end portion of the crest-shaped portion to the other surface of the substrate is 1 mm or less. Further, it is preferable that a cross section of the groove perpendicular to a direction in which the groove extends is formed in a substantially V-shape and an inclination angle of a side surface of the substantially V-shape of the groove is 80 degrees or less. Further, it is preferable that a plurality of the grooves are linearly arranged in parallel and the top end portions of the crest-shaped portions are formed in a linear shape.

In a culture container including a plurality of recesses for culturing a culture target, such as spheres, a liquid substance can flow between the recesses and the movement of the culture target between the recesses can be prevented. A culture container includes a plurality of recesses for accommodating a culture target, the culture container including a container body having a first surface in which the recesses are formed, and a top plate having a second surface facing the first surface, protrusion portions and/or channel portions being provided on a side of the first surface and/or a side of the second surface, the container body being in contact with a part of the top plate to form a channel between the container body and the top plate, and a width of the channel being smaller than a minimum diameter of the culture target.

Culture container, culture method, and transportation method

In the production of a culture vessel in which a low cell-adhesive polymer as a coating agent is applied to a culture surface having a plurality of concave parts formed thereon, a use amount of the coating agent can be reduced. The low cell-adhesive polymer as the coating agent is applied to a surface of a culture base material in advance, and subsequently the culture base material is subjected to processing to form the culture vessel having the surface of the culture base material coated with the coating agent as the culture surface.

Cell culture apparatus

A counting device counts the number of counting objects in liquid in a flexible container. The counting device includes a mounting table on which the container is mounted and a pressing table arranged opposite to a container-arranged side of the mounting table. The mounting table and the pressing table move relatively in a direction of sandwiching the container, and a light-passing hole facing a surface of the container is provided in at least one of the mounting table and the pressing table. The pressing table includes one or more thickness-setting members that sandwich the container between the pressing table and the mounting table in a periphery of the light-passing hole and on the side opposite to the container in a protruding manner.

An induction heating container () in which an induction heat generator () is attached to the inside of a container main body () made of a non-conductive material so as to enable cooking by heating by an electromagnetic cooker. The induction heat generator () includes: a laminated body involving a conductor layer () that generates heat by induction of eddy current by high-frequency magnetic field and a heat-seal layer () that imparts heat-sealing properties to the container main body, and an eddy current control part () obtained by cutting the conductor layer () along the circumferential direction.

In a method of manufacturing a liquid jet head, a laminated substrate is formed by bonding onto a base substrate piezoelectric substrates having side surfaces joined to each other. Discharge grooves serving as channels for discharging liquid and dummy grooves serving as dummy channels that do not discharge the liquid are formed on a surface of the laminated substrate. The discharge grooves and dummy grooves are alternately arranged relative one another and are parallel to a longitudinal direction of bonding surfaces formed by the joined side surfaces of the piezoelectric substrates. The dummy grooves are formed at the respective bonding surfaces. Drive electrodes are formed on side surfaces of the grooves.

Method of manufacturing a liquid jet head

A liquid jet head includes a flow path member having a supply port through which liquid is supplied and a discharge port through which the liquid is discharged, and a cover plate having a liquid supply chamber that communicates with the supply port and a liquid discharge chamber that communicates with the discharge port. An actuator substrate has a plurality of parallel channels that extend between the liquid supply chamber and the liquid discharge chamber and the channels communicate with respective nozzles formed in a nozzle plate. The flow path member, cover plate, actuator substrate and nozzle plate constitute a laminated structure. A communication path is provided in one or both of the cover plate and flow path member for bypassing the liquid from the liquid supply chamber to the liquid discharge chamber so that air bubbles trapped in the liquid can be effectively discharged to the outside.

Liquid jet head and liquid jet apparatus

A liquid jet head is provided with laminated head chips forming a laminated structure. Each of the head chips has an actuator portion and a nozzle plate bonded to a first end face of the actuator portion. The actuator portion of each head chip has a filter, a first liquid chamber communicating to a downstream side of the filter, a channel communicating to the first liquid chamber for inducing pressure on liquid therein, and an electrode terminal for transmitting a drive signal to the channel. The nozzle plate has a nozzle communicating to the channel of the actuator portion. The surfaces of the nozzle plates of the respective head chips are flush with one another.

A method of manufacturing a liquid jet head comprises forming a terminal region on a top surface of an actuator substrate in the vicinity of a rear end thereof, and forming on the top surface a plurality of alternately arrayed ejection grooves and dummy grooves arranged in parallel to each other from a front end toward the terminal region. Shallow grooves are formed in the terminal region, and a conductive film is formed on the top surface, side surface and bottom surface of each of the ejection grooves, and on the side surface and bottom surface of the shallow grooves. The conductive film is removed from the top surface by grinding, and a cover plate is bonded to the actuator substrate so as to expose the terminal region and cover the ejection grooves. A nozzle plate is adhered to a side surface of the actuator substrate at which the ejection grooves are opened.

Method of manufacturing liquid jet head, liquid jet head, and liquid jet apparatus

A liquid jet head includes an actuator portion having a first recessed portion, second recessed portions, and left and right channel rows provided between the first and second recessed portions, respectively, and being offset in a row direction by 1/2 of a channel pitch. Each of the left and right channel rows includes channels each having one end portion opened to the first recessed portion and another end portion opened to one of the second recessed portions. The channels are formed of grooves each sandwiched by two of a series of walls extending from the first recessed portion to one of the second recessed portions. A width of the walls corresponding to one of the left and right channel rows being equal to a width of the grooves corresponding to the other of the left and right channel rows.

Liquid jet head, liquid jet apparatus, and method of manufacturing liquid jet head

A liquid jet head includes an actuator portion having a first recessed portion, a second recessed portion, sidewalls made of a piezoelectric material and forming grooves provided between and communicating with respective ones of the first and second recessed portions, drive electrodes provided on respective ones of the sidewalls, and electrode terminals for transmitting a drive signal to respective ones of the drive electrodes. A cover plate has a first liquid chamber communicating with the first recessed portion for supplying liquid to the grooves and having a second liquid chamber communicating with the second recessed portion for discharging liquid from the grooves. A nozzle plate has nozzles communicating with respective ones of the grooves for ejecting liquid supplied to the grooves due to deformation of the sidewalls upon transmission of a drive signal by the electrode terminals to respective ones of the drive electrodes.

In a method of manufacturing a liquid jet head, a piezoelectric substrate is bonded onto a first base. Ejection grooves for ejection channels and dummy grooves for dummy channels are alternately formed in parallel with one another. The ejection grooves and the dummy grooves have such a depth as to pierce the piezoelectric substrate and to reach the first base substrate. An electrode material is deposited on inner surfaces of the ejection grooves and the dummy grooves. A cover plate is bonded to the piezoelectric substrate so as to cover the ejection grooves and the dummy grooves. In a subsequent first base substrate removing step, a part of the first base substrate on a side opposite to the cover plate and the electrode material deposited on bottom surfaces of the dummy grooves are removed. A second base substrate is then bonded to the first base substrate.
