The cigarette filter wrapper paper has a paper layer which has a first surface and a second surface. The filter wrapper paper exhibits a first overlap air permeability, measured when a perforated tip paper is overlapped on the first surface, and a second overlap air permeability, measured when a perforated tip paper is overlapped on the second surface. The first overlap air permeability is higher than the second overlap air permeability.

Multi-ply cigarette filter wrapper

A filter-tipped cigarette includes a tobacco portion having a tobacco material wrapped by a cigarette paper, and a filter portion which is connected to the tobacco portion. The filter portion has a filter body composed of a plurality of individual filter plug sections, a plurality of individual filter plug wrappers individually wrapping the filter plug sections and an integral filter wrapper integrally wrapping the filter plug sections wrapped by the filter plug wrappers. The tobacco filter portions are integrally connected by a tip paper. The tip paper has a plurality of ventilation holes. The individual filter plug wrapper corresponding to the ventilation holes has an air permeability lower than the integral filter wrapper.

Filter-tipped cigarette and filter for a cigarette

A slit curtain separating apparatus for separating a smoking area and a non-smoking area, defined in a passenger cabin of an airliner, with respect to cigarette smoke includes a curtain wall, which is suspended from the ceiling of the passenger cabin and extends along the boundary between the smoking and non-smoking areas. The curtain wall has slit curtains arranged individually over left- and right-hand aisles of the passenger cabin and a center curtain located between the aisles. The separating apparatus further includes a vent port array on the ceiling of the smoking area. The vent port array has aisle vent ports corresponding individually to the aisle and a center vent port located between the aisles. Smoke filled air in the smoking area is discharged from these vent ports.
