The present disclosure relates to an imaging device, an imaging method, and a program that make it possible to implement an appropriate auto white balance (AWB) lock desired by a user. As a shutter button setting for applying the AWB lock, any one of Shutter Halfway Down, Continuous Shooting, or Off can be select and set. Furthermore, a setting is configured in which an AWBL button is assigned to a custom button so that the AEB lock can be applied by either a hold operation or a toggle operation. The present disclosure can be applied to an imaging device.

Imaging device and imaging method

An imaging unitgenerates an image signal of a captured image. An optical sensor unitgenerates a sensor signal that has a wider view angle than that of the imaging unitand is according to a spectral characteristic upon obtaining the captured image. A controllerdetermines reliability of a light-source estimation result based on the image signal generated by the imaging unit, using a light-source estimation result based on the sensor signal generated by the optical sensor unit. For example, the controllerclassifies the light-source estimation result based on the image signal into categories of light sources capable of being estimated based on the sensor signal, and compares the category into which the light-source estimation result is classified with the light source estimated based on the sensor signal. In a case where the light source estimated based on the sensor signal is not changed when the category into which the light-source estimation result is classified is changed, it is determined that the light-source estimation result based on the image signal is not reliable, and an adjustment value of white balance adjustment is not updated. Then, the white balance adjustment can accurately and stably be performed.

Image processing device, image processing method, and imaging device

A controlling value is calculated using a first white balance gain and a second white balance gain. Using the calculated controlling value, an image processing parameter is then modulated. Using this modulated image processing parameter, image data processing is performed, and storage, transmission, and the like of the image processing parameter are performed. This can realize advanced image processing reflective of the white balance gain.
