Provided are an organic electroluminescence device which has a high luminous efficiency, a low operating voltage and a long life and which is low in a voltage rise in operation and excellent in an ageing stability and has an aptitude in production by the wet process, and a lighting equipment and a display device which are prepared by using the same. The above organic electroluminescence device is constituted from organic layers including at least a light-emitting layer which are interposed between an anode and a cathode, wherein at least one layer of the above organic layers contains a blue phosphorescent organic metal complex having a structure represented by the following Formula (1) and a compound represented by the following Formula (H1):

This invention provides a novel electrochemical display element, which can realize bright white display, high-contrast black and white display, and full-color display by a simple member construction, and a method for driving the display element. The display element is characterized in that it comprises opposed electrodes, and an electrolyte, an electrochromic compound, a metal salt compound, and a white scattering material between the opposed electrodes, and multicolor display of three or more colors is carried out by black display, white display, and display of color other than black by driving the opposed electrodes by taking advantage of 1) a color change as a result of oxidation and reduction reactions of the electrochromic compound, and 2) a color change as a result of reduction precipitation and oxidation dissolution of a metallic element contained in the metal salt compound in at least one of the opposed electrodes.

A silver halide light-sensitive color photographic materials is disclosed. The material comprises a compound which releases, upon reaction with an oxidation product of a color developing agent, a 2-mercapto-1,3,4-oxadiazole derivative represented by formula I: ##STR1## wherein L.sub.1 represents a linkage or a divalent linking group; R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; n represents an integer of one, two or three; and m represents an integer of zero, one or two, provided that sum of m and n is three. The color photographic material produces a dye image having enhanced image-sharpness, showing large inter-image effect with reduced reduction of gamma in the layer, to which the coupler is incorporated and having improved stability with the lapse of time during storage.

Silver halide light-sensitive color photographic material

A silver halide color photographic material containing a compound capable of the timed release of photographically useful groups is disclosed. A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing a novel magenta dye-forming coupler. The coupler is represented by the following Formula I: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or a substituent; R.sub.2 is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group or a substituted or unsubstituted amino group; provided, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are allowed to bond together so as to complete a ring; Z is a hydrogen atom or a group capable of being split off upon coupling reaction with the oxidized product of a an aromatic primary amine developing agent; and EWG is an electron attractive group having a Hammet's .sigma. p value of more than 0.3. The photographic material has excellent color reproducibility and improved in color forming efficiency and graininess of images.
