There is provided a touch panel device including an advance key that is assuredly touchable by an operator with no cost increase. A touch panel device () includes a plurality of keys () to () each including an indication part on which a corresponding one of functions is indicated, and a plurality of touch detection areas provided over the respective indication parts of the plurality of keys () to ().
