A network node (), a wireless device () and methods therein, for handling interference in a wireless network where a Listen-Before-Talk, LBT, scheme is employed to control transmissions. The network node () determines whether a first wireless device () is compatible with a second wireless device () at a serving network node () so that uplink signals transmitted (A,A) from the wireless devices () are spatially separable at the serving network node (). An LBT-related message is then transmitted (A) to the first wireless device (), which message indicates that the wireless devices () are compatible or incompatible at the serving network node (). The second wireless device () is then able to detect (A), i.e. overhear, the LBT-related message and use it as a basis for deciding () whether to perform a transmission or not. The second wireless device () can thus decide to transmit when the compatibility information indicates that the wireless devices () are compatible, or refrain from transmission when the compatibility information indicates that the wireless devices () are incompatible.

Network node, wireless device and methods for handling interference

A method performed by a station for enabling an Uplink, UL, transmission to an access point in a wireless communications network is provided. The station determines a UL transmission rank for an UL transmission to the access point. Then, the station transmits, to the access point, a message on a contention-based transmission resource in the wireless communications network comprising information indicating the determined UL transmission rank. A station for enabling an UL transmission to an access point in a wireless communications network is also provided. Furthermore, an access point and a method performed therein for enabling an UL transmission from a station in a wireless communications network are also provided.

Uplink transmissions in a wireless communications network

Methods and apparatus are proposed for managing carrier sensing in a communications system. In order to enable carrier sensing of a beamforming transmission to a served wireless device, a network node transmits a first transmission and a second transmission. The second transmission is the beamforming transmission to the served wireless device and the first transmission is an unhiding signal, which indicates the presence of the second transmission.

Method and apparatus for managing carrier sensing

A radio device () receives a radio transmission on a carrier frequency. While receiving the radio transmission, the radio device () transmits an indication that the carrier frequency is in use by the radio transmission to the radio device (). This indication may then be used by a further radio device () for controlling a radio transmission to the radio device (), e.g., by deciding whether, when, or how to use the carrier frequency for this radio transmission.

A method performed by a network unit () for determining a target radio network node (). The network unit () and the target radio network node () are operating in a wireless communications network (). The network node determines the target radio network node () as one radio network node out of a group of radio network nodes (') operating in the wireless communications network () and which one radio network node has a combination of a quality of a radio channel to a wireless device () and an amount of computational resources available for serving the wireless device (), which combination is better than the other radio network nodes out of the group of radio network nodes (&#x2032;). The target radio network node () is for association with the wireless device () served by a serving radio network node ().
