An embodiment of an integrated stripline feed network for a linear antenna array comprises a power distribution network coupled to the linear antenna array; a feed signal input/output component coupled to the power distribution network; wherein the input/output component receives a feed signal and splits the feed signal for distributing to a plurality of antenna elements of the linear antenna array through the power distribution network. The integrated stripline feed network is configured to be integrated into a support body of the linear antenna array, wherein, the support body structurally supports the linear antenna array.

A linear antenna array comprises a hollow support mast having a longitudinal axis, and a plurality of antenna element bays located equidistantly along the support mast. Each of the antenna element bays comprises a stripline driving circuit board positioned orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the support mast, and a set of radiating elements symmetrically positioned around the support mast and electrically connected to the driving circuit board. A suspended-line circuit extends through the support mast and is electrically connected to the driving circuit board in each of the antenna element bays to provide a driving feed signal to each of the radiating elements.

An anti-lightning-combined-stripline-circuit system is provided. The anti-lightning-combined-stripline-circuit system includes a stripline board including circuitry, and a metal ground bar attached to the stripline board. The metal ground bar has a geometry configured to function as a ground for the circuitry and simultaneously function as a lightning ground for a linear array of elements driven by the circuitry.

A broad-band circularly-polarized antenna is presented. The circularly-polarized antenna includes at least four monopole antenna elements having respective at least four radiating surfaces with respective at least four normals. The monopole antenna elements are arranged around a vertical axis. The normals of the respective radiating surfaces are perpendicular to and point away from the vertical axis. The broad-band circularly-polarized antenna includes at least one feed network communicatively coupled to edge portions of the at least four monopole antenna elements. A first antenna element is driven with a first driving phase offset by 90 degrees from a second driving phase used to drive a second antenna element. The second driving phase is offset by 90 degrees from a third driving phase used to drive a third monopole antenna element. The third driving phase is offset by 90 degrees from a fourth driving phase used to drive a fourth antenna element.

Circularly polarized antenna

Systems and methods for a feeding structure for an antenna array are provided. In at least one embodiment, the feeding structure for an antenna array comprises one or more circuit boards with one or more circuits formed thereon, one or more conductive layers wherein the one or more circuit boards are mounted to the one or more conductive layers, and one or more connectors coupled to the one or more circuits through an opening in the one or more conductive layers. Furthermore, the one or more conductive layers are separated by a dielectric from the one or more circuits and the one or more conductive layers contact the one or more circuit boards such that the one or more circuits are isolated from the one or more conductive layers.

A method of fabricating components for a three-dimensional circuit structure includes providing a printed circuit board (PCB) having a top surface, an opposing bottom surface, and an end section. A first angled channel is formed in the top surface at the end section, with the first angled channel extending to an edge of the end section and dividing the end section into a first end portion and a second end portion. The PCB material is removed from the top surface at the first end portion to form a first support member having an upper surface at a preselected distance below the top surface. A second angled channel is formed in the bottom surface at the end section of the first PCB, with the second angled channel extending to the edge of the end section and being adjacent to the first support member. The PCB material is removed from the bottom surface at the second end portion to form a second support member having an upper surface that is contiguous with the top surface of the PCB. A ramp portion extends between the first support member and the second support member.

Fabrication of three-dimensional printed circuit board structures

An antenna system is disclosed having a plurality of vertically-distributed elements. The orientation of the elements provides an improved linear array pattern covering the upper hemisphere with a sharp cut-off at a relatively small angle above the horizon. Each of the elements are distanced from each other by, for example, &agr;&lgr;/2, wherein the unitless constant, &agr;, is less than unity.
