A tilt hinge for office equipment such as a compact personal computer, has a mounting plate and a bearing plate that is at right angles to the mounting plate. A torque generating part of a shaft is press fit into one part of an elastic fastening curl member. The curl part is at the tip of the bearing plate. Another torque part of the shaft is also press fit into a modified curl part of the curl member. The curl part is moved circumferentially by an adjustment screw so that torque generated by the torque generating part of the shaft can be adjusted and is stable. The modified engaging curl part also has a flat part pressed against a portion of the shaft on an inner surface of the curl member.

Tilt hinge for office automation equipment

A holder arrangement for a toilet-bowl having a body, a seat and a lid includes a holder with a case and a bottom opening for inserting a pair of operating hinges and a pair of opposite, coaxial, side openings at opposite ends of the holder case. A pair of fixtures project horizontally from the holder case for fixed the arrangement to the body of the toilet bowl. The pair of operating hinges each have a hinge case with a pair of legs and a rotating shaft projecting from the hinge case. The hinge cases and rotating shafts are coaxial to each other in the holder case, the operating hinges being inserting into the holder case through the bottom opening of the holder case and the rotating shafts extending out of the holder case through the side openings of the holder case. One rotating shaft is adapted for connection to the seat and the other is for connection to the lid. An engagement mechanism has of a pair of engagement pieces inside the holder case. Each engagement piece is for engaging one leg of each hinge case for fixing each hinge case in an axial position in the holder case.

Holder for toilet-bowl seat and seat lid operating hinges

A hinge device for use to support a seat and seat lid of a toilet bowl openably and closably is provided which can also be implemented even without any rubber ring and provide a delicately controlled feeling with the sea and seat lid when being opened or closed. The hinge device comprises a cylindrical hinge case to be fixed to the body of a toilet bowl and having a partition wall formed therein; a rotating shaft provided rotatably inside the hinge case to support a seat and seat lid of the toilet bowl and consisting of a large-diameter portion which is born in the inner wall of the hinge case and a small-diameter portion which is born in a bearing hole formed in the partition wall of the hinge case; a stationary cam provided inside the hinge case, fixed to the partition wall of the hinge case and having the small-diameter portion of the rotating shaft penetrated through the central portion thereof; a rotatable sliding cam provided inside the hinge case opposite the stationary cam to be slidable axially and rotatable along with the small-diameter portion of the rotating shaft penetrated through the central portion thereof; an elastic means wound on the outer surface of the rotating shaft and between the rotatable sliding cam and the large-diameter portion of the rotating shaft; and means for adjusting the elasticity of the elastic means.

Hinge device for supporting seat and seat lid of toilet bowl openably and closably

A tilting hinge is provided which includes a first bracket consisting of a fixing plate portion and a bearing plate portion bent at a right angle relative to the fixing plate portion, the fixing plate portion being fixed to any one of the body of an apparatus and a component part of the apparatus, installed pivotably to the latter and the bearing plate portion having a non-circular bearing hole formed therein; a cylinder having a fixing portion formed at one end and a friction torque generating hole formed axially in it, the fixing end portion being inserted and fixed in the non-circular bearing hole in the bearing plate portion of the first bracket; a second bracket consisting of a fixing plate portion and a bearing plate portion bent at a right angle relative to the fixing plate portion, the fixing plate portion being fixed to the other of the body and component part of the apparatus and the bearing plate portion having formed in it a non-circular bearing hole; and a radially elastic spring pin having provided at one end a fixing end portion inserted and fixed in the non-circular bearing hole in the bearing plate portion of the second bracket; the spring pin being press-fitted at the free end into the friction torque generating hole in the cylinder to be rotatable with a friction with the outer surface of the cylinder and the wall surface of the friction torque generating hole.

Tilting hinge

An operative hinge for use with an opening/closing body is provided which comprises a hinge case to be installed to a toilet bowl body for operating the opening/closing body; a shaft provided rotatably within the hinge case to support the opening/closing body; a stationary cam fixed within the hinge case and having formed therein a central through-hole through which the rotating shaft is axially penetrated; a cam provided within the hinge case and having formed therein a central through-hole through which the rotating shaft is axially penetrated to be slidable on, and rotatable with, the rotating shaft; and a resilient means for urging the rotatable sliding cam toward the stationary can, the hinge further comprising, to further positively control the rotation or the rotating means, a damping means consisting of a rubber ring fitted on the rotating shaft and interposed between the outer surface of the rotating shaft and the inner wall of the hinge case; and a viscous oil applied between the outer surface of the rubber ring and inner wall of the hinge case; the rubber ring having spiral recesses formed on the outer surface thereof.

Operative hinge for opening/closing body

In order to fabricate a hinge device for opening and closing an opening and closing member which is opened and closed one-sidedly or relatively in respect of a main body of the device in a small size, with a structure as simple as possible and inexpensively, the device is constituted by a shaft installed with a flange portion at one end portion thereof, a fixing member having a rotational lock which is engaged with other end portion of the shaft such that the fixing member does not come of f the other end portion and fixed to one connecting portion of the opening and closing member which is constituted to be rotatable along with the shaft, a fixed cam having a rotational lock which is fixed to other connecting portion of the opening and closing member while rotatably inserting the rotating shaft through a central portion thereof on a side of the flange portion of the rotating shaft, a rotary sliding cam which is installed between the fixed cam and the fixing member, engaged with the shaft inserted through a central portion thereof, is rotatable along with the shaft and slidable in the axial direction and a compression spring elastically installed between the rotary sliding cam and the fixing member by being wound around the shaft in which the fixed cam is installed with a pair of cam portions at opposed positions at one side face thereof and the rotary sliding cam is installed with projected portions which are brought into press contact with the cam portions of the fixed cam.

Hinge device

A hinge apparatus for portable electronic devices such as portable telephones and handheld personal computers can be manufactured with a small and simple structure at a low cost. The hinge apparatus has a shaft with a flange, a cam engaged with an end of the shaft and; a slide cam engaged with the shaft between the cam and the flange. The slide cam is rotatably with the shaft and slidably in an axial direction. A compression spring is rolled around the shaft, and elastically provided between the slide cam and the flange. The cam has a pair of projections on one side surface at opposite positions, and the slide cam has cam members press-contacted with the projections. Otherwise, provided is a hinge apparatus which connects a microphone and a earphone of a portable telephone. The hinge apparatus comprises: a shaft having a flange with a rotation stopper, fixed in a hole provided at an attachment member in an axial direction provided at an end of the microphone or earphone, at one end; a cam having a rotation stopper, holding the shaft rotatably inserted through an insertion hole provided in a central axis direction of the shaft, engaged with the other end of the shaft, and fixed in a hole provided at an attachment member in the axial direction at an end opposite to the end where the flange is fixed; a slide cam, provided between the cam and the flange, engaged with the shaft inserted through a central portion, rotatably with the shaft and slidably in the axial direction; and a compression spring rolled around the shaft, and elastically provided between the slide cam and the flange. The cam has a pair of projections on one side surface at opposite positions, and the slide cam has cam members press-contacted with the projections.

Hinge apparatus

A punching tool for a press, includes a punch guide having a stripper plate at a lower end thereof. A punch body is formed with a blade portion at a lower end thereof and disposed within the punch guide for up and down movement. A punch driver includes a piston rod fixed to the punch body. A gas spring section has a gas cylinder, the piston rod of the punch driver extending through the gas cylinder for up and down movement. A high pressure gas is contained in the gas cylinder to bias the punch driver upward, and an annular elastic member is interposed between an upper surface of the punch guide and a lower surface of the gas cylinder of the gas spring section to absorb shock generated when the stripper plate attached to the punch guide collides against work during a punching process. The punching tool can reduce noise generated during punching processing and further can prevent a punching mark (scar) from being formed on the surface of the punched work.

Punching tool

A punching die includes a punch body, a punch guide fitted on the punch body movably up and down with respect to the punch body, a punch head provided on a top portion of the punch body, and a gaseous spring provided between the punch body and the punch guide for pushing the punch guide downwardly with respect to the punch body. The gaseous spring is cylindrical and fitted on the punch body detachably, and includes a device for restricting a maximum length of the gaseous spring.

Punching die

In a punching tool having a punch body (23), a punch driver (33) integral with the punch body, a punch head (45) disposed over the punch driver and struck by a striker (59), a punch guide (15) for guiding the punch body, a stripper plate (17) disposed under the punch guide, and a stripping spring (51) interposed between the punch guide (15) and the punch driver (33), the punching tool further includes a first damping member (39) interposed between the punch guide (15) and the punch driver (33) so as to be elastically deformable within a predetermined deflection value. Owing to the presence of the first damping member (39), it is possible to reduce noise generated when the punch body (23) is returned upward by a strong urging force of the stripping spring (51) after work has been punched, thus reducing overall noise generated during punching processing.

A stripper device for a punching tool comprises: a gas cylinder (5) filled with a gas (7) having a cylinder head (27) and a cylinder end (17) attached to a lower end of the cylinder head airtightly; and a piston (9) having a punch head (11) and a piston rod (15); an axial movement restricting member (13, 201) for restricting an axial movement of the piston in the gas cylinder filled with the gas; and a rotational movement restricting members (31; 205, 203) for restricting a rotational movement of the piston in the cylinder body. A stripping force of the stripper device can be obtained by a resilient force generated whenever the gas is compressed by the piston within the gas cylinder for each punching operation. The punch assembly enables plate material of various thicknesses to be punched out without generating stripping miss. Further, when the stripper device is assembled with a punch body (19) as a punch assembly, the assembly length of the punch assembly can be adjusted finely by a stroke adjusting mechanism composed of a locating pin (41), locating holes (43) and thread engagement of the piston with the punch body.

Stripper device and punch assembly using same

A punching die includes a punch body and a punch head provided for an upper portion of the punch body. The punch head is struck by a striker. The punching die further includes a punch guide disposed at a lower portion of the punch body, a retainer collar disposed over the punch guide and fitted to the punch body, a stripping spring interposed between the punch head and the retainer collar, and an elastically deformable damping member being interposed between an upper surface of the punch guide and a lower surface of the retainer collar.

A punching die includes a punch body, a punch driver secured to the punch body, and a punch head provided on an upper portion of the punch driver for movement relative to the punch driver when the punch head is struck by a striker. The punch die further includes a punch guide fitted into the punch body, a stripper plate disposed at a lower portion of the punch guide, a stripping spring interposed between the punch guide and a flange portion of the punch driver, and an elastically deformable damping member interposed between an upper surface of the punch driver and a lower surface of the punch head.

The low noise punch tool (17) of this invention includes an upper surface pad (51) formed of a low noise material and disposed on an upper surface of a punch head (37) to be struck by a striker (25) of a punch press. Further, an elastic member (55) formed of a low noise material is interposed between the punch head (37) and a punch guide (43), and a ring (53) formed of a low noise material is interposed between the punch body (39, 41) and the punch guide (43). The low noise punch tool (17) includes a lower surface pad (63) formed of a low noise material and attached to a lower surface of a stripper plate (45) provided at a lower end of the punch guide (43). The low noise material may be urethane. Yet further, the cutting edge (41a) provided at the lower end of the punch body (41) has preferably a shearing angle. This punch tool is advantageous in that the noises of the punch tool during punching is significantly reduced, and the structure thereof is simple.
