A computer program product tangibly embodied in an information carrier includes instructions that, when executed, perform operations that modify stock levels of a storage location in a logistic environment system. The operations include receiving information indicating a stock level change at storage location database objects that each represent a storage location for stock in a logistic environment. A storage location database object has associated with it a rule, a stock amount value specifying an amount of stock for the storage location, and a threshold that indicates a stock level to be maintained for the storage location. The operations also include determining, using the rule, if the stock level change would cause the stock amount value to cross the threshold, and if so, generating a request to modify the amount of stock at the storage location so that the stock amount value does not cross the threshold.

A computer program, method, and systems for monitoring inbound documents. Each of these inbound documents, which concerns the delivery of inbound merchandise to a processing center, itemizes one or more available products included in the inbound merchandise. Outbound documents, each of which concerns the shipping of outbound merchandise from the processing center, are also monitored. These outbound documents each itemize one or more needed products to be included in the outbound merchandise. The computer program product includes instructions that, when executed, perform operations for identifying a source or destination for stock. The operations include receiving an electronic request to determine a source or destination for stock, identifying, using a primary rule, a logistic area database object that represents a storage location at one of multiple levels of a hierarchy of storage locations. The logistic area database object is associated with a value that indicates an amount of stock that is associated with the storage location. The operations also include transmitting an identifier specifying the logistic area database object if the value indicates that associated storage location is available as a source or destination. The identifier is used to assign the storage location as the source or destination for the stock.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for releasing stock requests to a storage facility, such as a warehouse. Such systems, methods and computer-readable medium may generate a condition record reflecting a predetermined set of conditions to be met by the attributes of a stock request, receive the stock request including one or more attributes about a stock item, determine whether the attributes of the received stock request meet the conditions of the condition record, associate a wave template of the condition record with the stock request if a determination is made that the stock request does meet the condition record, and create a wave object based on each stock request associated with the wave template. The wave object may then be released to the warehouse for fulfillment of each stock request associated with the wave object.

Methods and systems for grouping and managing stock requests

Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for monitoring and controlling warehouse activities. Inbound information reflecting the status of wares destined for storage in a warehouse is monitored. Internal information reflecting movement of the wares within the warehouse is also monitored. Additionally, outbound information reflecting outbound processing of the wares is monitored. The status of the warehouse is presented based on at least one of the inbound information, internal information, and outbound information.
