A dry-powder inhaler may include a first casing portion, a second casing portion, and a hinge arrangement connecting the first casing portion and the second casing portion. The dry-powder inhaler may be assembled by folding the first casing portion and the second casing portion together. The first casing portion may include a cavity for receiving a dose blister foil, said cavity being adapted to contain a dry-powder medicament. The first casing portion and the second casing portion when folded together may be adapted to form an inlet for allowing a lidding foil extending out there from and an outlet for providing the medicament.

Dry powder inhaler comprising a casing with a first casing portion and a second casing portion

A dry powder inhaler may include a housing having a lower housing part defining at least one air inlet and at least one air outlet. At least one container may be disposed in the lower housing part. The at least one container may include a cavity for a dry powder drug. A chamber may be disposed above the at least one container for deaggregation of the dry powder drug after emptying of the dry powder drug from the cavity. Upon inhalation by a user at the at least one air outlet, air may flow from the at least one air inlet into and through the chamber to empty the dry powder drug from the cavity and convey the dry powder drug to the at least one outlet.

Single dose dry powder inhaler

A dry powder inhaler may include at least one air inlet, at least one air outlet, an air channel between said air inlet and outlet, and at least one medicament reservoir. The inhaler may include a dosage mechanism for arranging at least one dose of a medicament from said medicament reservoir between the air channel and the air outlet such that said at least one dose may be delivered upon inhalation at said air outlet. The dosage mechanism may include a dose disc with at least one cavity, wherein the dose disc may be rotatable between a dose collecting position, in which the cavity may be positioned in the medicament reservoir, and a dose administering position, in which the cavity may lie underneath the air channel. The inhaler may also include a floor disc abutting the dose disc underneath the cavity to form a bottom of the cavity for radial emptying of the medicament from the cavity during inhalation. Alternatively, the inhaler may include a floor disc abutting the dose disc underneath the cavity to form a bottom of the cavity and support the medicament in the cavity, wherein said dose disc may rotate in relation to the floor disc when the dose disc is rotated between the dose collecting position and the dose administering position to grind any residual medicament in the cavity.

Dry powder inhaler

A dry powder medicament inhaler for metering an inhalation of dry powdered medicament may include at least one inlet and at least one outlet, wherein a communication between said inlet and outlet at least includes a mixing and deaggregation chamber and at least two dosage communications between the inlet and the chamber. The inhaler may also include a dosage mechanism for arranging at least one dose of a medicament between the inlet and the chamber, such that said at least one dose may be delivered upon inhalation at said outlet through said communications. The inhaler may further include a locking mechanism, wherein on moving the dosage mechanism from a dose collecting position to a dose administering position the locking mechanism may be moved from an unlocked to a locked position preventing the metering of any further doses prior to resetting of the locking mechanism. Instead of a locking mechanism, the inhaler may include a dosage indicator or a counterweight mechanism. The inhaler may also include combinations of a locking mechanism, a dosage indicator, and a counterweight mechanism.
