Provided is a bulk acoustic resonator (BAR)-based resonant structure in relation to electric and radio technologies, and more particularly, to a wireless power transmission system. A resonant apparatus for wireless power transmission may include a conducting loop, and a high quality capacitor. The high quality capacitor may include a metacapacitor including a thin piezoelectric layer disposed between two metal electrodes. The metacapacitor may be disposed between two dielectric layers of which central portions are etched, and the conducting loop may be disposed on an upper layer of the two dielectric layers.

Resonant apparatus for wireless power transfer

Provided is a self-resonant apparatus in relation to electric and radio technologies, and more particularly, to a wireless power transmission system, the self-resonant apparatus including ring resonators. Here, the ring resonators may be represented by a combination having metamaterial features, the combination may include split-ring resonators (SRRs) connected in parallel to capacitors, a front surface and a rear surface of each of the SRRs may be connected to be twisted in an alternating pattern, and each SRR may be executed as a metal strip mounted on a dielectric layer and connected to a neighboring SRR by a series capacitor.

Self-resonant apparatus for wireless power transmission system

An antenna for a mobile terminal includes a substrate, a dipole placed on the substrate, a loop placed on the substrate, and a matching circuit on the substrate. The matching circuit comprises at least one of a variable capacitor or a variable inductor. The radiation center of the loop substantially coincides with the radiation center of the dipole.

The present invention relates to a tunable resonating arrangement comprising a resonator apparatus (), input/output coupling () means for coupling electromagnetic energy into/out of the resonator apparatus, and a tuning device () for application of a biasing voltage/electric field to the resonator apparatus. The resonator apparatus comprises a first resonator () and a second resonator (). Said first resonator is non-tunable and said second resonator is tunable and comprises a ferroelectric substrate (). Said first and second resonators are separated by a ground plane () which is common for said first and second resonators, and coupling means () are provided for providing coupling between said first and second resonators. For tuning of the resonator apparatus, the biasing voltage/electric field is applied to the second resonator ().

An electrically tunable device, particularly for microwaves, includes a carrier substrate, conductors, and at least one tunable ferroelectric layer. A tunable microwave monolithic integrated circuit includes a dielectric material with a variable dielectric constant. A superconducting material with a negative dielectric constant is provided which is arranged in relation to the dielectric material in such a way that at least one interface is formed between the superconducting material and the dielectric material. The dielectric material is a low loss non-linear bulk material. Phase velocity tuning of microwaves is provided through controlling the propagation of surface plasma waves of the microwaves along the interface(s).
