Managing ink content in structured formats on a computing device is provided. Ink content may be received by the computing device. The ink content may then be recognized by the computing device to correspond to a content format associated with one or more applications. The ink content may then be converted by the computing device into a content associated with the one more applications.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to classifying pages of an electronic document, such as a scanned book page. OCR software is applied to the contents of the electronic document, revealing semantic information about the content of the electronic document. Software-based features are applied to the semantic information to determine the type of page the electronic document is. Page types may include table of contents (TOC), table of figures (TOF), bibliography, index, or other types of pages commonly found in a book, magazine, or other publication. Once determined, the determined page type is stored and used by other software engines.

Computer-readable media, systems, and methods for document layout extraction are described. In embodiments, textual data in an electronic format is received and the textual data is converted from the electronic format to an independent interface format, the independent interface format including coordinates to one or more structural elements of the textual data. Further, in embodiments, a structure and layout analysis of the textual data is performed to generate a set of structure and layout information. Still further, in embodiments, the textual data and the set of structure and layout information is stored in an enriched interface format, the enriched interface format providing for search and navigation of the textual data.

Document layout extraction

The described systems and methods are directed at managing networks using network templates. Each network template is associated with a different network topology and includes parameters for implementing the associated network topology. A user may implement a particular network topology by selecting a corresponding network template. A configurator may be used to configure a network device to implement the network topology associated with the selected network template based, at least in part, on the parameters.

Methods, systems and apparatus are described for resource identifier translation. In an implementation, a method includes in a network environment having at least two separate resource identifier (ID) zones, collecting translation information, from first and second information producers, which describes translation of a resource ID between first and second resource ID zones. The collected translation information is distributed to one or more consumers for translating a resource suitable for implementation in the first resource ID zone such that the translated resource is suitable for implementation in the second resource ID zone.
