A print agent application assembly includes a print agent transfer roller to receive print agent and transfer a portion of the print agent to a photoconductive surface. The assembly may also include a print agent regulator roller to regulate a film thickness of print agent on the print agent transfer roller. The assembly may also include a mechanism to generate an oscillating force to be applied to print agent on the print agent transfer roller. A method and a print apparatus are also disclosed.

Applying force to print agent

The present disclosure relates to cleaning a surface in a printing device, wherein a guiding member directs a stream of cleaning fluid towards the surface; and at least one barrier unit to confine the stream of cleaning fluid to a portion of the surface, wherein the at least one barrier unit guides air to provide at least one air curtain confining said stream of cleaning fluid to the portion of the surface.

Cleaning of a surface in a printing device

The present disclosure relates to cleaning a surface in a printing device, wherein a steam guiding member directs a steam flow towards the surface; wherein the steam flow interacts with a substance on said surface to clean a portion of the surface.

In one embodiment, an image developer includes a developer roller rotatable along a photoconductor for presenting a layer of ink to the photoconductor and a cleaner for cleaning ink from the developer roller. The cleaner includes a first cleaning roller rotatable along the developer roller for removing ink from the developer roller and a second cleaning roller rotatable against the first cleaning roller for mechanically removing ink from the first cleaning roller. In one embodiment, the second cleaning roller deforms against the first cleaning roller such that the cross-sectional length of contact between the first and second cleaning rollers is in the range of 20% to 38% of the circumference of the first cleaning roller. In one embodiment, the second cleaning roller has a density in the range of 90 kg/mto 150 kg/m.
