A method is provided for facilitating location-based digital transaction. The method may include scanning, using at least one sensor of a host device, a physical environment associated with a digital transaction location. The method may further include generating a set of host anchors based on the scanning of the physical environment. The method may further include computing a host anchor set geometry based on the set of host anchors. The method may further include determining an environment-embedded code associated with the computed host anchor set geometry and the digital transaction location. Further, the environment-embedded code may be stored. The stored environment-embedded code may be provided for facilitation of the digital transaction.

Location-based digital transactions using extended reality (XR) environment

Methods and devices for privately verifying and enhancing location data are disclosed. A location-based services server receives a possible location of a mobile device. A location verification system determines a detected location of the mobile device. The location-based services server and location verification system communicate using a private set intersection technique to determine whether the possible location corresponds to the detected location without the possible location or detected location being shared. Probabilities associated with the possible and detected locations can also be combined to enhance the accuracy of the possible location.

Private location verification and enhancement

Methods and devices for privately verifying and enhancing location data by a distributed ledger system are disclosed. A location-based services server receives a possible location of a mobile device. A location verification system determines a detected location of the mobile device. A distributed ledger system uses a private set intersection technique to determine whether the possible location corresponds to the detected location without the possible location or detected location being shared. Probabilities associated with the possible and detected locations can also be combined to enhance the accuracy of the possible location.

Distributed private location verification and enhancement

An apparatus and methods provide trajectory data for a geographic area. Multiple probe data sets are received or identified from one or more mobile devices. The probe data sets include time values in a first sequence associated with location values in the first sequence. At least one of the probe data sets is modified to reverse the location values such that the modified probe data set includes time values in a first sequence associated with location values in a second sequence. A location clustering algorithm is performed on the plurality of probe data sets and the modified probe data set based on the location values.

Trajectory time reversal

An approach is provided for detecting stay points from probe data. The approach, for example, involves segmenting a probe trajectory into a first trajectory segment type (e.g., on-road), a second trajectory segment type (e.g., off-road), an unknown trajectory segment type, or a combination thereof. The approach also involves merging the unknown trajectory segment into either the first trajectory segment type or the second trajectory segment type based on a co-occurrence with the unknown trajectory segment. The approach further involves segmenting the first trajectory segment type into first sub-segments and the second trajectory segment type second sub-segments based on a minimum enclosing ball or any other bounding volume with a radius less than or equal to the distance threshold. The approach further involves processing each first sub-segment and each second sub-segment to determine stay points.
