An airbag system () for a powered saddle-ride type vehicle () is provided. The system comprises a housing (): an airbag () arranged in said housing (); and an inflator (). The housing () is elongated and is configured to face the driver, and the housing () is configured to be fixedly mounted to a leg shield () next to the steering column () of the vehicle () in an area between handlebars () of the vehicle and a foot support () of the vehicle. The elongated housing () is configured to be mounted in a substantially horizontal direction, transverse to a longitudinally extending centreline (CL) of the vehicle (). The inflator () is configured to allow the airbag (), in the event of an activation signal, to inflate and deploy symmetrically on opposite sides of the longitudinally extending centreline (CL) of the vehicle () to thereby fill an available space between the vehicle and the driver's pelvis, abdomen, thorax and head area. Further, a powered saddle-ride type vehicle is provided.

A method for imparting commands to a motor vehicle () includes a central control unit (), at least one steered wheel (), and a steering member () for acting on the steered wheel (). The method includes a step of activating, by an interface device () on the steering member (), a voice recognition function on a smartphone () interfaced with the central control unit (). After the smartphone () has received a voice command imparted by the driver, and recognized through activation of the voice recognition function, the smartphone () selects by its processing unit, an instruction corresponding to the voice command received. The instruction is then executed.

The vehicle is provided with a dashboard and with a housing in which a mobile device, for example a mobile phone or smartphone, can be inserted. An electronic control unit of the vehicle co-acts with the mobile device by means of an electronic interface, so as to provide the mobile device with information relating to the operation of the vehicle. In this way, the mobile device provides an integration of the on-board instruments of the vehicle, which completes the instruments available on the dashboard.

A management method for the energy range of a rechargeable battery pack of an assisted pedal electrical bicycle () including an electrical machine controllable for supplying a torque according to a pedal assistance factor, said torque being summed to the one generated by a cyclist through the pedaling, the management method including the following steps: a) selecting a route to be traveled by the electrical bicycle () starting from an initial position; b) obtaining data representative of the altitude profile of the selected route and dividing the route in a plurality of segments each being characterized by a respective altitude parameter; c) calculating a value correlated to the maximum percentage of battery pack () discharge on the selected route as a function of the altitude profile and of a limit pedal assistance factor K_limit, preferably calculating a value for each segment representative of the percentage of battery pack () discharge on the segment as a function of a limit assistance factor K_limit associated to each segment based on the altitude parameter associated to the segment; d) verifying whether the battery pack () has a residual positive charge or not at N the end of the route; wherein, if following that step d) of verifying it is determined that the battery pack () does not have a residual positive charge at the end of the route, then the management method iteratively repeats the steps c) and d) modifying the limit assistance factor K_limit based on one or more adjustment curves each allowing to obtain a new limit assistance factor for each segment as a function of the segment slope.

The system includes a centralized architecture capable of determining and preventing, in real time, potentially dangerous road situations, increasing road safety. The system is based on a communication network obtained through specific portable mobile communication devices exchanging information related to the state of a plurality of vehicles in motion along a road network. The method includes periodical acquisition and sending of the information to a centralized processing unit using the wireless communication system of each portable mobile communication device; processing of the information in order to verify the occurrence of potential dangerous situations for the drivers of each vehicle; and sending of warning or danger signals to one or more of the portable mobile communication devices that can alert the drivers of the vehicles.

A method is described for the automatic management of the energy autonomy of a vehicle, and includes receiving a signal for indicating a distance and/or a path to cover, and dividing the distance and/or the path into space intervals; calculating an allowable variation of energy capacity in a space interval based on energy capacity detected by the sensors and on variation laws of the energy capacity; determining limit conditions for the speed and/or acceleration of the vehicle, on the basis of a map, chosen among a plurality of maps of speed-acceleration-variation of energy capacity; generating a regulated instantaneous torque request on the basis of the speed and/or acceleration detected by the plurality of sensors, of the determined limit conditions for the speed and/or acceleration and of the instantaneous torque request generated by the first central control unit. An electronic system capable of implementing such a method is described.
