A bed can include a mattress and a foot warming system. The mattress can include a mattress cover and a support structure that is positioned under and covered by the mattress cover. The foot warming system can include a heating unit an envelope, a power source, and an electrical connector electrically connecting the heating unit to the power source. The heating unit can be positioned inside the envelope between the envelope top and the envelope bottom. The heating unit and the envelope can be positioned at a foot of the bed under mattress cover between the support structure and the mattress cover.

A first bed includes a first mattress, a first pressure sensor, and a first controller in data communication with the first pressure sensor, the first controller configured to receive pressure readings and to transmit the first pressure readings to a remote server. The system further includes a second bed that includes a second mattress having an inflatable chamber. The system further includes a second pressure sensor in fluid communication with the second mattress inflatable chamber to sense pressure applied to the second mattress of the inflatable chamber. The system further includes a second controller in data communication with the second pressure sensor, the controller configured to receive the one or more sleep-state classifiers and to run the received sleep-state classifiers in order to collect one or more sleep-state votes. The second controller is further configured to determine a sleep-state and operate the bed system according to the determined sleep-state.

Bed having sleep stage detecting feature

A first bed that includes a first mattress, first pressure sensor, first acoustic sensor, and first controller configured to receive first pressure readings and first acoustic readings. The first controller is further configured to transmit the first pressure readings and the first acoustic readings to a remote server. The system further includes a second bed that includes a second mattress, a second pressure sensor, a second acoustic sensor and a second controller configured to run the received physiological event classifiers on second pressure readings and on second acoustic readings in order to collect one or more physiological event votes from the running physiological event classifiers and operate the bed system according to the indicated physiological event.

The first controller is configured to receive first pressure readings and first acoustic readings. A second controller is configured to receive the one or more snore classifiers. A device includes a substrate configured to support a subject, a plurality of non-contact sensors configured to capture acoustic signals and force signals with respect to the subject, an audio interface configured to communicate with the subject, and a processor in connection with the plurality of sensors and the audio interface. The processor configured to determine biosignals from one or more of the acoustic signals and the force signals to monitor a subject's health status, and detect presence of speech in the acoustic signals. The audio interface configured to interactively communicate with at least one of the subject or an entity associated with the subject based on at least one of an action needed due to the subject's health status and a verbal command in detected speech.

Speech-controlled health monitoring systems

A first collection of biometric data of a user on a mattress of the bed system is sensed via a sensor of the bed system. The user is instructed to perform an exercise activity. The user is instructed to return to and lay on the mattress after performing the exercise activity. A second collection of biometric data of the user on the mattress of the bed system is sensed via the sensor of the bed system again after the user has performed the exercise activity. A stress test output is generated based on the sensed first biometric data and the sensed second biometric data. The stress test output is displayed to the user.

A processing unit is configured to select a thermoregulation adjustment and to alter a thermal property of a sleep environment based on the selected thermoregulation adjustment.

A bed has a mattress. A sensor is configured to sense sleep readings of a user sleeping on the bed. An automation controller is configured to transmit the sleep readings to a cloud service. A sensor system senses a plurality of environmental phenomena and send a data message with sensed parameters. The computer system determines an indication that the sensed parameter indicated low-quality sleep and sends an instruction to adjust the environment. A control system adjusts the environment without particular input from a user.

A system can include a foundation structure and a sensor. The foundation structure can have a plurality of deck panels configured to support a mattress. The plurality of deck panels can include a head panel. The plurality of deck panels can have a head, a foot, a first side, and a second side, a first edge along the head, a second edge along the foot opposite of the first edge, a third edge along the first side, and a fourth edge along the second side opposite the third edge. An acoustic sensor is positioned in an environment and configured to generate a data stream responsive to acoustic energy in the environment. A controller is configured to receive the data stream. The controller is further configured to analyze the data stream to determine ambient acoustic signals. The controller is further configured to generate an ambient acoustic template based on the determined ambient acoustic signals. The controller is further configured to apply the ambient acoustic template to the data stream so that the ambient acoustic signals are suppressed in the data stream. The controller is further configured to analyze the data stream after the ambient acoustic signals are suppressed in order to determine if the acoustic energy in the environment includes acoustic energy of human snoring. The controller is further configured to issue a control signal to a second controller in order to engage a home automation device.
