Methods and compositions for enhancing Wnt signaling pathway activities in a tissue of a subject have been developed for the treatment of cancer, in particular cancers with one or more mutations in the APC (adenomatous polyposis coli) gene. Preferably, the amount of the compositions for enhancing Wnt signaling does not reduce or inhibit proliferation or viability of normal healthy cells in the subject. In some embodiments, pharmaceutical compositions including an effective amount of one or more GSK-3 inhibitors are administered to reduce cancer cell proliferation or viability in a subject. A preferred GSK-3 inhibitor is LY2090314 encapsulated within, or associated with nanoparticles. Dosage forms of LY2090314 encapsulated within, or associated with nanoparticles for administration are also described.

Compositions and methods for enhancing Wnt signaling for treating cancer

The present invention provides compositions comprising &#x3b2;-hydroxybutyrate, cyclic or linear &#x3b2;-hydroxybutyrate oligomers, and/or &#x3b2;-hydroxybutyrate ester derivatives, or pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof. In various embodiments, the compositions are encapsulated by nanoparticles, such as nanoparticles comprising, e.g., poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid). In additional embodiments, the invention provides methods of using such compositions to induce intestinal stem cell regeneration and/or treat radiation-induced intestinal damage in a subject.

The present invention relates to methods of identifying, collecting and isolating hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and compositions of purified HSCs. Specifically, the present invention provides methods of isolating and purifying CD150HSCs, CD48HSCs, and CD244HSCs. The present invention also relates to purified cell samples with enriched CD150HSCs, CD48HSCs, and CD244HSCs populations, as well as methods of treating subjects with such compositions.
