A float valve () is provided for use with a liquid medium, the float valve having an upright configuration and an inverted configuration. The float valve includes: a housing (), defining at least one inlet port () and at least one outlet port (); a float assembly () movable within the housing; and an auxiliary float member () movable within said housing. The float assembly () comprises a primary float member ('), different from the auxiliary float member, and a spring element (). The primary in float member is configured for closing the at least one outlet port when in abutment therewith, the spring element being configured for providing a biasing spring force to the primary float member in a direction towards said at least one outlet port. The auxiliary float member is configured for providing a net upthrust force with respect to the liquid medium under submerged conditions irrespective of whether the float valve is in said upright configuration or in said inverted configuration.

Float valve

Provided is a roll over fuel-vapor valve is provided including a housing defining a valve having a valve inlet port extending through a wall of the housing and a valve outlet port and a float member disposed between the inlet port and the outlet port and being displaceable between an open position and a closed position the hosing further comprising a fluid flow channel extending along a top portion thereof and having a first end and a second end, wherein the outlet port extending into the channel such that in the open position fluid flow is facilitated between the valve inlet port and the channel.

Fuel-vapor valve system and components therefor

A fuel tank isolation valve (FTIV) is provided, configured for being disposed in fluid flow communication with a fuel tank and a carbon canister of a fuel system, the FTIV including an integrated controller and a solenoid coupled to a valve, the solenoid being movable between a normally closed position in which the valve is closed and prevents fluid communication through a first flowpath through the FTIV, and an open position in which the valve is open and allows for fluid communication through the first flowpath, the integrated controller being configured for generating actuation signals to the solenoid, responsive to parameter signals received from one or more sensors associated with the fuel tank. A sensing system for use with a fuel system is also provided, the sensing system including the FTIV and at least one such sensor. A fuel system is also provided, including a fuel tank and a carbon canister, and also including the sensing system for use therewith.

Solenoid assembly for a valve

A pressure relief valve () is provided having a first tubing () connectable to a fuel tank () and a second tubing () connectable to a fuel vapor treating device (), the pressure relief valve comprising: an externally actuated (hereinafter EA) valve () disposed between the first tubing () and the second tubing () and being configured for pulsed actuation by a controller () thereby allowing pulsed fluid flow through a primary port () disposed between the first tubing () and the second tubing ().

Pressure relief valve

Provided is a fuel accessory for a vehicle's fuel system, the fuel accessory including a housing configured with a confined space, at least one fluid inlet port extending into the confined space, at least one fluid outlet port extending from the confined space, and at least one liquid drain port extending from the confined space. An inlet flow path defined by the inlet port extends tangentially relative to a wall portion in the confined space.

Vehicle fuel accessory

A pressure relief valve () is provided for controlling fluid flow between a first fluid path () and a second fluid path (). The pressure relief valve includes a housing (), a diaphragm member () movably affixed within the housing and having a fluid port (), a first biasing member () for urging the diaphragm member in a first direction, and a sealing member () movably mounted in the housing and configured for reversibly sealing the fluid port (). When a pressure at the second fluid path () exceeds a first predetermined threshold the diaphragm member () is pushed against the first biasing member (), and the sealing member () is initially urged towards the fluid port () and subsequently becomes disengaged with the fluid port, allowing fluid communication between the second fluid path () and the first fluid path () via the fluid port. When the pressure at the second fluid path () decreases below a second predetermined threshold, the sealing member () becomes disengaged from the diaphragm member (), allowing fluid communication between the first fluid path and the second fluid path via the fluid port. A valve assembly including the pressure release valve () and an externally actuated valve () is also provided.

A draining device for draining fuel from a fuel vapor system into a fuel tank is provided, the draining device comprising a port configured to be coupled to a fuel vapor accessory and a sealing member displaceable between a closed position in which the port is closed by the sealing member and an open position in which fuel from the fuel vapor accessory can be drained into the tank, wherein the sealing member is displaced into the open position when pressure in the tank is substantially equal to the atmospheric pressure and the fuel level in the tank is below the fuel level in the fuel vapor accessory.

Draining device

A draining arrangement comprising a pipe segment () having an aperture () defined by circumferential wall portion () and a draining tube () having an insertion end () configured to be introduced into said aperture and to engage said circumferential wall portion such that the circumferential wall portion is slightly bent inwardly, thereby sealingly engaging the insertion end, the insertion end includes a bore () providing fluid communication between the pipe segment and the draining tube, and a cutaway () configured to allow fluid from the pipe segment to enter the bore.

Draining arrangement

Provided is a fuel valve including a uniform valve housing accommodating a roll-over valve (ROV), an over-pressure relief valve (OPR) and a pressure retention valve (PRV), wherein a pressure retention disc is substantially axially displaceable within a top chamber of the valve housing, between a normally closed portion in which it sealingly bears over an outlet port of the flow path and an open position; the pressure retention disc is configured with a cutout portion at least partially enveloping a pressure relief port of the valve.

Fuel valve

A valve for a fuel tank is provided, comprising a housing configured with a float chamber and a disk chamber being in flow communication through an intermediate flow path. The disk chamber is configured with a fluid outlet port from the intermediate flow path and a valve outlet and a fluid inlet port is sealable by a sealing member of a float member axially displaceable within the float chamber to selectively facilitate fluid flow to or from the float chamber via the valve. The fluid outlet port is sealable by a pressure holding member axially having an under pressure bleed valve displaceable between a sealed position wherein the under pressure bleed valve is sealed, and an open position wherein the under pressure bleed valve is open, providing passage of fluid therethrough.

Roll over valve

Provided is a roll-over fuel valve configured with a float-sealable fluid path module including a float member axially displaceable within a float housing, between an open position and a closed position. The float member is normally biased in direction of the closed position and the float member includes an open liquid chamber for collecting liquid, thus taking part in the force equilibrium acting on the float member.

A fuel vapor control valve comprising a housing. The housing comprising inlet and outlet ports in flow communication via first and second valve controlled passages. The first valve controlled passage being configured to admit fuel vapor flow in a direction from the inlet port to the outlet port only when pressure at the inlet port exceeds a predetermined threshold. The second valve controlled passage being configured to admit vapor flow in a direction from the outlet port to the inlet port only when pressure at the inlet port drops below pressure at the outlet port. The fuel vapor control valve further comprising a sealing arrangement disposed at an external portion of the housing between the inlet and outlet ports.

Vehicle fuel system and components thereof

A fuel tank comprising at least one fuel vapor accessory articulately coupled with a fuel tubing extending within the fuel tank. The tubing extends from a field end of the tank towards an outlet end thereof, and is formed with at least one aperture between the field end and the outlet end. The fuel vapor accessory is disposed between the field end and the outlet end. The tubing is secured to an inside upper wall of the fuel tank.

Venting tubing system for a fuel tank

A fuel vapor control valve comprising a housing fitted with an inlet port connectable to a fuel tank and an outlet port connectable to a fuel vapor recovery device. The inlet port and the outlet port are in flow communication via a first valve controlled passage admitting fuel vapor flow in a direction from the inlet port to the outlet port only when pressure within the fuel tank exceeds a threshold. A second valve controlled passage admits vapor flow in an opposite direction from the outlet port to the inlet port only when pressure within the fuel tank drops below pressure at the fuel vapor recovery device.
