An intravaginal device () includes arms () and struts (). Each strut of the struts () has a first end () coupled to a shaft () arranged to slide in a tube () and a second end () coupled to one of the arms (). A string () is coupled to the shaft (). The arms () have a stowed orientation in which the struts () are folded inwards and a deployed orientation in which the struts () point radially outwards and tautly hold the arms () in an expanded position.

Intravaginal device

An endoscopic sleeve includes a tubular member from which spaced projecting elements. The projecting elements are bendable towards both proximal and distal directions of the tubular member. The force (insertion force) required to bend the projecting elements towards the proximal direction is less than a force (extraction force) required to bend the projecting elements towards the distal direction. An outer periphery of the projecting elements decreases as the extraction force increases.

Endoscopic sleeve

An optical head for an endoscope is fitted with an imaging system comprising a solid state imaging sensor and with an illuminating system comprising illuminating means, e.g. LED's. At least one illuminating means is defined by a parameter, which value is different from the value of the same parameter of the remaining illuminating means. Among the parameters are luminous intensity, luminous intensity distribution angle, and direction of the longitudinal axis of the illuminating means.

More particularly, the present invention refers to a control system for supplying a fluid medium, e.g. air, carbon dioxide, water, to the endoscope.

Versatile control system for supplying fluid medium to endoscope

A control system for supplying fluid medium to an endoscopic apparatus which comprises an operation handle and an insertion tube provided with an insufflation channel, an irrigation channel and a suction channel extending therealong. The control system is provided with a system control unit with at least one source of a first fluid medium, with a source of a second fluid medium, with a source of vacuum and with a multifunctional connector for bringing the operation handle in fluid and electrical communication with the system control unit. The source of the first fluid medium and the source of the second fluid medium are simultaneously connectable to and disconnectable from the insufflation channel and the irrigation channel.
