Example implementations described herein are directed to authentication based on the user's private factors, while not revealing at the server side information allowing the server (or anyone with the server's information) to deduce the private answers. In example implementations, the user answers a questionnaire with authentication factors, wherein the answers are transformed in a one-way fashion and the transformed answers are provided to the server side. Example implementations facilitate authentication based on polynomial interpolation or other methods to permit a user to authenticate, even if the user does not answer all of the questions correctly.

Privacy preserving knowledge and factor possession tests for persistent authentication

Reflective factors are used in combination with a, one-time password (OTP) in order to strengthen a system's ability to prevent man in the middle (MITM) phishing attacks. These reflective factors may include information such as URL information, HTTPS, a server's certificate, a session key, or transaction information. These reflective factors help to ensure that a client that wishes to access a server is the legitimate client, because even if a phisher (including a phisher attacking the legitimate client in real time) records identifying information from the legitimate client, it cannot replicate the reflective information to authenticate itself with the server.

Apparatus for syndicated data stream content provisioning, the apparatus comprising: an interaction tracker, configured to track at least one interaction of a user with at least one content object of a respective one of a group consisting of at least one syndicated data stream received on a computer device, the interaction being implicitly indicative of a preference of the user, a ranking function calculator, in communication with the interaction tracker, configured to calculate a ranking function based on the tracked interaction, and a content ranker, in communication with the ranking function calculator, configured to rank a plurality of content objects of the syndicated data streams of the group, in an order based on the calculated ranking function.

Syndicated data stream content provisioning

A computer implemented method for enhancing content with queries, the method comprising steps the computer is programmed to perform, the steps comprising: on a networked computer, recording information on a plurality of content items and previously issued queries, the information associating each one of the queries with a respective at least one of the content items, the query being a query issued by a computer user in context of the respective content item, receiving data on a content item destined for a computer user, and selecting at least one of the queries associated with the content items, for presentation with the content item destined for the computer user.
