An apparatus including a stereo camera and a processor. The stereo camera may comprise a first capture device and a second capture device in a vertical orientation. The first capture device may be configured to generate first pixel data and the second capture device may be configured to generate second pixel data. The processor may be configured to receive the first pixel data and the second pixel data, generate a vertical disparity image in response to the first pixel data and the second pixel data, generate a virtual horizontal disparity image in response to the first pixel data and the vertical disparity image and detect objects by analyzing the vertical disparity image and the virtual horizontal disparity image. An analysis of the virtual horizontal disparity image may enable the processor to detect the objects not detected in the vertical disparity image alone.

Virtual horizontal stereo camera

An apparatus includes a first interface a second interface, a third interface and a converter. The first interface may be configured to exchange a high-voltage signal with a high-voltage battery of a vehicle. The second interface may be configured to receive a first low-voltage signal from a source external to the vehicle. The third interface may be configured to present a second low-voltage signal to a power rail of the vehicle. The converter may be configured to (i) generate the high-voltage signal by up-converting the first low-voltage signal while in an up-conversion mode to recharge the high-voltage battery of the vehicle and (ii) generate the second low-voltage signal on the power rail by down-converting the high-voltage signal received from the high-voltage battery while in a down-conversion mode.

Auxiliary power supply system for high power loads in a hybrid/electric vehicle

An apparatus for enhancing stereoscopic imaging include a light projector, a stereo camera and a control circuit. The light projector may be configured to project a pattern of light in a direction. The pattern may include (i) a background pattern that illuminates an area along the direction and (ii) a textured pattern that varies an intensity of the light in the area. The stereo camera may be configured to generate two sequences of synchronized images by imaging the area. The control circuit may be configured to (i) control power to the light projector, (ii) receive the two sequences of synchronized images from the stereo camera and (iii) generate one or more output signals in response to the two sequences of synchronized images.

Enhanced stereoscopic imaging

An apparatus includes a first interface, a first converter, a high-voltage battery, a second converter and a second interface. The first interface may be configured to receive a first low-voltage signal from first power rail of a vehicle. The first converter may be configured to generate a high-voltage signal by up-converting the first low-voltage signal. The high-voltage battery may be configured to store the high-voltage signal. The second converter may be configured to generate a second low-voltage signal by down-converting the high-voltage signal. The second interface may be configured to present the second low-voltage signal to a second power rail of the vehicle. The first power rail may be electrically separated from the second power rail.
