In one embodiment, a frame and stair system for engaging a wall includes multiple pad assemblies, a distal frame assembly, a lower proximal frame assembly, an upper proximal frame assembly, multiple stair assemblies, and multiple upper panel stair adapter brackets. A lower stair assembly is coupled with a left stair pad assembly, a right stair pad assembly, a left distal leveling pad, and a right distal leveling pad. A middle stair assembly is coupled with the distal frame assembly and the upper proximal frame assembly. An upper stair assembly is coupled with the upper proximal frame assembly. The upper proximal frame assembly is coupled with the lower proximal frame assembly. A left upper panel stair adapter bracket and a right upper panel stair adapter bracket are coupled with the upper stair assembly and are configured to engage an upper edge of the wall.

Frame and stair systems and methods

Ready armor modular protective systems that can be rapidly deployed in an urban environment. Exemplary armor systems include a container, and a wall assembly that fits inside of the container when in a collapsed configuration. The wall assembly includes a first end section, a second end section, a constraint mechanism, and first and second locking mechanisms. The first end section has a first space frame unit, and the second end section has second and third space frame units. A locking mechanism prevent relative vertical displacement from occurring between adjacent second and third space frame units. The constraint mechanism keeps the first and third space frame units at a fixed distance from one another. The constraint mechanism, when coupled with the first and third space frame units, keeps the locking mechanism from being removed from the second end section.

Ready armor protection for instant deployment and loading

Ready armor modular protective systems that can be rapidly deployed in an urban environment. Exemplary armor systems include multiple space frame units. Adjacent space frame units can be coupled together with vertically adjustable coupling mechanisms. Coupling mechanisms (e.g. slot and pin connecting mechanisms) can facilitate relative displacement between adjacent space frame units when the units are connected. In this way, a wall of connected adjacent space frame units can be placed and/or moved along an uneven or irregular surface (e.g. having bumps or a grade) and the adjacent space frame units can remain in parallel and/or vertical orientation relative to one another. Suspension mechanisms can help to facilitate or enable rapid deployment of a ready armor modular protective system.

An easily assembled, transportable, re-deployable, modular, protective, double-roof system is disclosed which is compatible with other Modular Protective System (MPS) components and can be assembled in a variety of configurations to provide soldiers and equipment with protective enclosures.
