A projectile such as a paintball including a ball-shaped capsule and a round-shaped disc capable of facilitating accuracy of projectile travel direction is disclosed. The ball-shaped or substantial ball-shaped capsule, in one embodiment, having a head and a tail is able to store and deliver colored markers upon an impact between the projectile and an object. The round-shaped disc is positioned at a place so that allowing a portion of the round-shaped disc to extend above outer surface of the capsule. The disc is able to catch at least airflow when the projectile is launched. The round-shaped disc, in one example, uses the direction of the airflow to facilitate travel direction of the projectile.

Delivery shell using gyroscopic guiding system and methods of making the same

A projectile launcher includes a receiver and a dual cylindrical-shaped magazine ('DCM') wherein the receiver contains a propelling mechanism and an ammunition receiving port. The propelling mechanism is used for launching a projectile. The ammunition receiving port, which may be situated at bottom of the receiver, is able to receive projectiles. It should be noted that the projectile launcher can also be a gun or firearm. The DCM includes two canisters and an ammunition supply port which is situated between the two canisters. The DCM carries multiple projectiles in such a way that a first portion of projectiles moves toward the receiver against gravity for supplying projectiles from the ammunition supply port to the ammunition receiving port while a second portion of projectiles move in a direction parallel to the receiver for replenishing projectiles from the second portion of projectiles to the first portion of projectiles.

A projectile launcher using a self-resetting trigger system includes a striker, a sear, and a trigger. The striker, also known as hammer, includes an anchoring notch and is able to slide between a firing position and a ready-for-firing position for launching an object. The sear, which is substantially L-shaped sear, has a first sear end and a second sear end wherein the sear maintains the striker to the ready-for-firing position when the first sear end engages with the anchoring notch of the striker. The trigger, which is capable of self resetting independent from the movement of the striker, contains an elastic lip with a ramp and is able to maintain the sear in a ready position when the elastic lip and the second sear end are coupled in a lock position.

Method and apparatus for self-resetting trigger mechanism

A projectile launching device such as a paintball gun capable of firing a paintball using a hammer is disclosed. The paintball gun, in one embodiment, includes a bolt, a valve, and a hammer wherein the bolt has an air channel and is able to move within a bolt chamber. The valve, which is situated in a firing control chamber arranged in parallel to the bolt chamber, controls pressurized gas. The hammer, in one aspect, includes a pivot hole capable of hosting a pivot pin which facilitates a swing motion for the hammer. When the hammer swings around the pivot hole, the hammer contacts the valve whereby a portion of the pressurized gas is release. The bolt further includes a hammer reset element which is able to reset the hammer to a ready for firing position during a launch process.

A projectile launcher having an upper receiver capable of swinging away from a lower receiver is disclosed. In one aspect, the lower receiver having a first end and a second end contains a firing control chamber. While the second end is located closer to barrel of the launcher, the first end of launcher is located closer to a buttstock. The firing control chamber includes a gas channel, wherein one end of gas channel is coupled to a valve and another end of gas channel reaches to the top of external wall of the chamber. The upper receiver having a first end and a second end contains a bolt chamber. The second end of upper receiver and the second end of lower receiver are pivotally coupled whereby allowing the first end of upper receiver to be pivotally swung away from the first end of lower receiver.

A paintball assembly capable of retaining a paintball in a loading chamber using a paintball catcher is disclosed. The paintball assembly includes a loading chamber, a detent, and a bolt. The loading chamber is coupled to a loading port to receive paintballs. In one embodiment, the detent includes a paintball catcher capable of catching the paintball as it is loaded into the loading chamber. In one example, the paintball catcher is a flexible paintball catcher extending into the loading chamber and is able to catch the paintball and hold it in a predefined position. When a trigger is pulled, the bolt pushes the paintball into a firing chamber while the paintball catcher releases the paintball.

Method and apparatus for controlling paintball loading using a detent

A projectile launching device includes a receiver, an ammunition magazine, and a trap. The receiver has a magazine receiving port, a loading chamber, and a launching mechanism configured to launch a projectile via pressurized gas. The ammunition magazine has a projectile supply port and stores projectiles. The projectile supply port can be inserted into the magazine receiving port for supplying projectiles. The trap, which is located in the vicinity of the loading chamber and magazine receiving port, is oriented in a trap orientation which prevents projectile from leaving the loading chamber when the ammunition magazine is removed from the receiver.

A projectile launcher containing a top mounted striker launching mechanism capable of propelling a projectile or object is disclosed. In one aspect, the projectile launcher includes a bolt, a valve, and a striker. The bolt containing an air channel and a bolt carrier is situated inside a receiver of the projectile launcher. The bolt is used to facilitate launch of a projectile. The valve, which is situated inside the receiver above a firing chamber away from ground, is operable to control the release of pressurized gas for propelling the projectile. The striker, which is coupled to the bolt via the bolt carrier and is physically situated above the bolt away from the ground, is able to strike a valve pin of the valve to release a predefined amount of pressurized gas for propelling the projectile from the firing chamber to a target.

Method and apparatus for launching projectiles using a top mounted striker

A projectile launcher capable of optionally repositioning the bolt to a predefined position using a bolt carrier is disclosed. The launcher, in one aspect, includes a bolt, a striker, a bolt carrier, and a ramp. The bolt, in one example, is configured to be able to move within a bolt chamber. The striker having a striker reset hook is able to move in a direction parallel to a moving direction of the bolt. The bolt carrier, having a fastener, a flexible latch, and a bolt repositioning latch, is attached to the bolt via the fastener. The flexible latch is able to latch to the striker reset hook for resetting the striker during a process of launching a projectile. The ramp facilitates disconnecting the flexible latch from the striker reset hook when the flexible latch moves over the ramp.

A double-magazine ('Dmag') able to house projectile ammunition for a projectile launcher having a first ammunition channel, a second ammunition channel, and a flexible projectile control bar ('FPCB') is disclosed. In one embodiment, the first ammunition channel contains a first set or column of projectiles and the second ammunition channel which is situated in parallel to the first ammunition channel is configured to house a second set of projectiles. Dmag also includes a follower with a follower lock capable of moving along the first ammunition channel. The follower is configured to push the first set of projectiles toward a first ammunition supply port of the first ammunition channel. The FPCB has a first flexible flap which keeps the first set of projectiles from reaching the loading port of the launcher until the follower lock is released.

Method and apparatus for managing ammunition dispensing from a magazine using a flexible projectile control bar

A paintball propelling device capable of propelling paintballs using bottom feed magazine is disclosed. The paintball propelling device, in one embodiment, includes a receiver and a bottom feed magazine. The receiver, for example, has a top surface facing upward and a bottom surface facing downward at the ground, wherein the bottom surface of the receiver includes a bottom feed port. The bottom feed magazine provides paintballs to the receiver via a bottom feed port of the receiver. The bottom feed magazine, in one aspect, includes a feed tube, an L-shaped tube, and one-way paintball stopper. The feed tube transfers the paintballs from the bottom or floor of the bottom feed magazine to the top of the bottom feed magazine. The L-shaped tube assists to transfer paintballs from paintball reservoir to the feed tube. The one-way paintball stopper is configured to hold paintballs from leaving the feed tube back to the paintball reservoir.

A projectile launching device or launcher includes a receiver, a forestock, a trigger mechanism, and a trigger extension cable. The receiver, in one example, includes a valve, a striker, and a bolt, and is able to launch a projectile such as a paintball via pressurized gas. The loading tube is situated on the top of a barrel coupled to the receiver. The trigger guard, in one embodiment, includes a cable channel facilitating a flexible passage for the trigger extension cable. The trigger extension cable passes through the cable channel and provides a flexible linkage between the trigger and a latch wherein the latch is used to release the sear to trigger a launch.
