A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. The UE monitors for a wake-up signal (WUS) within a WUS monitoring window based on a jitter monitoring window associated with jittered data traffic at a base station. The base station transmits, to the UE, the WUS. The UE determines whether the WUS is received within the WUS monitoring window. The UE detects a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) occasion following a location of the WUS by an offset based on the WUS being received within the WUS monitoring window. The base station transmits, to the UE, in the SPS occasion following the WUS by the offset, a physical downlink shared channel including a data frame of the jittered data traffic.

Wake-up signal based semi-persistent scheduling configuration for extended reality traffic

A method of wireless communication for a user equipment (UE) includes entering a dormancy period for a secondary cell group (SCG) of a base station (BS) during which no downlink (DL) data or control transmissions are received from the SCG; performing a channel state information (CSI) measurement on the SCG during the dormancy period to generate a measurement report; determining an uplink (UL) beam of a primary secondary cell (PSCELL) of the SCG; transmitting the measurement report to the BS on the UL beam of the SCG; and determining, during the dormancy period and after transmitting the measurement report, one or more downlink (DL) beams for communicating on the SCG based on one or more rules and based on the measurement report, wherein the one or more rules result in the BS determining the same one or more DL beams based on the measurement report.

Beam updates during a secondary cell group (SCG) dormancy period

A first device may receive, from a second device, perception information for an environment of the first device based at least in part on a perception capability of the second device. Supporting inter-media synchronization in wireless communications

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for aperiodic measurement configurations. In one aspect, delaying transitioning of a secondary cell group (SCG) to an active state until a next synchronization signal block (SSB) or periodic reference signal may result in an excessive delay in obtaining network resources of the SCG. Some aspects described herein enable a base station (BS) to transmit signaling using a master cell group (MCG) cell to schedule resources for an aperiodic reference signal transmission and measurement using the SCG. For example, the BS may transmit signaling to a user equipment (UE) to identify a reference signal resource for an aperiodic reference signal transmission and measurement. In this case, the BS may transmit the aperiodic reference signal using an SCG cell, and the UE may measure the aperiodic reference signal and provide a report identifying the measurement of the aperiodic reference signal.

Systems and methods for using a master cell group (MCG) to schedule resources for a reference signal transmission and measuremment using a secondary cell group (SCG)

In an aspect of the disclosure, a UE may be configured to receive a dataset in an encoded format on a network communication interface. The UE may be further configured to transmit a unicast transmission including a subset of the dataset on a direct communication interface to another UE when a non-unicast transmission is received indicating that the other UE failed to successfully receive the subset of the dataset. The other UE may be configured to transmit, on the direct communication interface, a non-unicast transmission indicating a failure to successfully receive a subset of a dataset on a network communication interface. The other UE may be further configured to receive a unicast transmission including the subset of the dataset on the direct communication interface. A base station may configure the UEs to communicate data on the direct communication interface after receiving the data on a network communication interface.

Device-assisted communication with network coding

A method for wireless communication between at a base station and a user equipment is provided that accommodates multiple data streams of varying traffic characteristics. The base station may configure semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) occasions having a particular periodicity. Each SPS occasion having multiple slots associated with multiple physical downlink shared channels (PDSCH). A message is transmitted to a user equipment (UE) indicating the SPS occasions. Subsequently, the base station transmits data to the UE over the multiple PDSCH during the indicated SPS occasions. The base station can dynamically adjust the number of PDSCH for an SPS occasion, wherein different number of PDSCH are used in two sequential SPS occasions. Also, the PDSCH in a same SPS occasion may use at least one of: different encoding schemes or different modulation schemes.

Techniques for multi-slot semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) occasions

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may connect to a set of source cell groups (CGs). The UE may receive a target cell group setup information, the target cell group setup information being associated with a set of target CGs. The UE may connect to the set of target CGs based at least in part on the target cell group setup information during a handover from the set of source CGs to the set of target CGs. The UE may disconnect from the set of source CGs after connecting to the set of target CGs. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Techniques for prioritization associated with a cell group change

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain orientation information associated with the UE. The orientation information may indicate a rotational movement of the UE. The UE may transmit an indication of a beam associated with a predicted orientation of the UE, wherein the predicted orientation of the UE is based at least in part on the orientation information. The UE may receive an updated beam or measurement configuration based at least in part on the indication. Numerous other aspects are described.

User equipment extended reality information-based beam management

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for determining what resources and beams to use when monitoring for wake up signals (WUSs). Particular aspects provide a method performed by a user equipment (UE), which generally includes measuring one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) transmitted from a network entity, determining one or more WUS occasions and receive (RX) beams to monitor based on the SSB measurements, and deciding to wake up for an ON duration if a WUS is detected in one of the monitored occasions.

Wake-up beam management

Systems, methods, and devices for secondary cell activation using temporary reference signals are provided. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), includes receiving, from a base station (BS) via a first cell, an activation command to activate a second cell different from the first cell, and receiving, from the BS via the second cell during an activation period, a first reference signal different from a synchronization signal block (SSB). The method further includes performing a measurement of the first reference signal, and operating in the second cell based on the measurement. In some aspects, using reference signals different from SSBs may reduce the delay associated with activating the secondary cell.

Secondary cell activation using temporary reference signals

Aspects presented herein may enable a remote UE to notify a base station about the availability of a relay UE that is not connected to the base station. In one aspect, a remote UE transmits, to a relay UE, a relay request via sidelink, the relay UE being in an RRC inactive mode. The remote UE receives, from the relay UE via the sidelink, an indication of relay availability in response to the relay request. The remote UE receives, from a base station, a configuration for relay of communication from the base station over the sidelink between the remote UE and the relay UE. The remote UE transmits or receives user data from the base station through the relay UE based on the configuration.

User equipment relay procedure

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication that a secondary cell group (SCG) is to enter an SCG dormant state and an indication for using one or more of configured grant (CG) on an uplink or semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) on a downlink for communication with a secondary node (SN) of the SCG during the SCG dormant state.
