This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a user equipment (UE) entering a dormant state with respect to a secondary cell group (SCG) of a node network (SN) having a primary serving cell (PSCell). In one aspect, the UE may maintain a parameter set for at least the PSCell while the UE is in the dormant state with respect to the SCG. For example, the UE may receive a parameter change message from either the SN or a master network (MN) and transmit a parameter change acknowledgment to either the SN or the MN. The parameter change message may be transmitted as one or both of a downlink control information (DCI) or media access control (MAC) control element (CE). The UE may transmit physical layer measurements to the SN based on the parameter set.

User equipment (UE) physical layer measurement reporting in secondary cell group (SCG) dormancy

In an aspect, a UE receives, while a secondary cell group (SCG) is associated with a dormant state, at least one downlink transmit beam associated with at least one cell of the SCG. The UE determines, while the SCG is associated with the dormant state, an uplink transmit beam for a primary secondary cell (PSCell) of the SCG based on one or more of a spatial relation indication (SRI), whether there is beam correspondence between the at least one downlink transmit beam and the uplink transmit beam, a default uplink transmit beam, or a combination thereof. The UE transmits a signal related to a measurement between the UE and the one or more SCells of the SCG on the determined uplink transmit beam.

Beam management for a secondary cell group in a dormant state

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information identifying a set of uplink resources for a set of uplink transmissions. The UE may transmit a subset of the set of uplink transmissions, wherein the subset of the set of uplink transmissions includes uplink control information multiplexed from a remainder of the set of uplink transmissions corresponding to one or more instances in which data is not available for transmission. The UE may receive an indication to skip PDCCH monitoring based at least in part on monitoring the PDCCH during the first time interval. The UE may monitor the PDCCH during a second time interval associated with a second grid, of the plurality of grids. Aspects described herein relate to receiving, by a base station, assistance information to facilitate configuring one or more parameters for communicating by a device with the base station, transmitting, by the base station, a signal that does not include the one or more parameters that are based on the assistance information, detecting, by the base station, a degraded feedback for the signal transmitted to the device, and transmitting, by the base station and based on detecting the degraded feedback, an assistance response signal including one or more parameters based on the assistance information.

Techniques for modifying parameters based on assistance information in wireless communications

A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. The UE monitors for a wake-up signal (WUS) within a WUS monitoring window based on a jitter monitoring window associated with jittered data traffic at a base station. The base station transmits, to the UE, the WUS. The UE determines whether the WUS is received within the WUS monitoring window. The UE detects a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) occasion following a location of the WUS by an offset based on the WUS being received within the WUS monitoring window. The base station transmits, to the UE, in the SPS occasion following the WUS by the offset, a physical downlink shared channel including a data frame of the jittered data traffic.

Wake-up signal based semi-persistent scheduling configuration for extended reality traffic

A method of wireless communication for a user equipment (UE) includes entering a dormancy period for a secondary cell group (SCG) of a base station (BS) during which no downlink (DL) data or control transmissions are received from the SCG; performing a channel state information (CSI) measurement on the SCG during the dormancy period to generate a measurement report; determining an uplink (UL) beam of a primary secondary cell (PSCELL) of the SCG; transmitting the measurement report to the BS on the UL beam of the SCG; and determining, during the dormancy period and after transmitting the measurement report, one or more downlink (DL) beams for communicating on the SCG based on one or more rules and based on the measurement report, wherein the one or more rules result in the BS determining the same one or more DL beams based on the measurement report.

Supporting inter-media synchronization in wireless communications

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for aperiodic measurement configurations. In one aspect, delaying transitioning of a secondary cell group (SCG) to an active state until a next synchronization signal block (SSB) or periodic reference signal may result in an excessive delay in obtaining network resources of the SCG. Some aspects described herein enable a base station (BS) to transmit signaling using a master cell group (MCG) cell to schedule resources for an aperiodic reference signal transmission and measurement using the SCG. For example, the BS may transmit signaling to a user equipment (UE) to identify a reference signal resource for an aperiodic reference signal transmission and measurement. In this case, the BS may transmit the aperiodic reference signal using an SCG cell, and the UE may measure the aperiodic reference signal and provide a report identifying the measurement of the aperiodic reference signal.

Systems and methods for using a master cell group (MCG) to schedule resources for a reference signal transmission and measuremment using a secondary cell group (SCG)

In an aspect of the disclosure, a UE may be configured to receive a dataset in an encoded format on a network communication interface. The UE may be further configured to transmit a unicast transmission including a subset of the dataset on a direct communication interface to another UE when a non-unicast transmission is received indicating that the other UE failed to successfully receive the subset of the dataset. The other UE may be configured to transmit, on the direct communication interface, a non-unicast transmission indicating a failure to successfully receive a subset of a dataset on a network communication interface. The other UE may be further configured to receive a unicast transmission including the subset of the dataset on the direct communication interface. A base station may configure the UEs to communicate data on the direct communication interface after receiving the data on a network communication interface.

Device-assisted communication with network coding

A method for wireless communication between at a base station and a user equipment is provided that accommodates multiple data streams of varying traffic characteristics. The base station may configure semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) occasions having a particular periodicity. Each SPS occasion having multiple slots associated with multiple physical downlink shared channels (PDSCH). A message is transmitted to a user equipment (UE) indicating the SPS occasions. Subsequently, the base station transmits data to the UE over the multiple PDSCH during the indicated SPS occasions. The base station can dynamically adjust the number of PDSCH for an SPS occasion, wherein different number of PDSCH are used in two sequential SPS occasions. Also, the PDSCH in a same SPS occasion may use at least one of: different encoding schemes or different modulation schemes.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may connect to a set of source cell groups (CGs). The UE may receive a target cell group setup information, the target cell group setup information being associated with a set of target CGs. Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain orientation information associated with the UE. The orientation information may indicate a rotational movement of the UE. The UE may transmit an indication of a beam associated with a predicted orientation of the UE, wherein the predicted orientation of the UE is based at least in part on the orientation information.
