A method for continuous steam explosion discharge of a pressurised reactor for thermal treatment of lignocellulose biomasses. The steam explosion discharge is complete decoupled from the thermal treatment step and the loss of steam from the process is fully controlled without jeopardizing the mechanical disintegration of the lignocellulose material from the process.

A system for treatment of a biomass material and a method for transporting biomass material, said system comprising: —a first vessel () in which said biomass material is treated at a first pressure;—a second vessel () in which said biomass material is collected at a second pressure which is lower than the first pressure; and—a transporting pipe () connecting an outlet () of the first vessel () with an inlet () of the second vessel () for transporting the biomass material from the first vessel to the second vessel, wherein said transporting pipe () comprises at least one restriction () for control of the flow in the transporting pipe and hereby providing a pressure drop to the transported biomass material, wherein at least one of said at least one restriction () is provided somewhere in the second half of the length of the transporting pipe () starting from the first vessel () and ending at the second vessel ().

System for treatment of a biomass material

A device is provided for distribution of 2-13% cellulose pulp to a movable processing surface in a pulp processing device to form a pulp web thereon. An inlet box has an inlet and an outlet defined therein. A rotatable distribution means is arranged for distributing pulp along an entire length of the outlet. The distribution means is placed so that a first distance (a) between the distribution means and a first outlet wall is greater than a second distance (a) between the distribution means and a movable processing surface.

Distribution device for feeding of cellulose pulp

Methods for achieving even transverse distribution and propagation of a flowing medium are disclosed in which the flowing medium is supplied through a conduit and is deflected during diverging propagation in at least one distribution gap. The method includes deflecting the flowing medium during diverging propagation along the distribution gap in which the medium is conveyed through a passage to an outlet gap having a larger depth than the depth of the distribution gap. The medium is conveyed over an edge of the passage extending transverse to the direction of the flow, and the edge is designed to obtain a propagation along the flowing path of the diverging medium that provides a substantially even and parallel flow of the medium along the outlet gap. Apparatus for achieving this method is also disclosed.

Method and apparatus for transverse distribution of a flowing medium

Apparatus for mixing a chemical medium with a pulp suspension is disclosed, comprising a housing, a first feeder for feeding the pulp suspension to a mixing chamber, a rotor body connected to a rotor shaft to supply kinetic energy to the pulp suspension flow, such that turbulence is produced in a turbulent flow zone in the mixing chamber, a second feeder for feeding the chemical medium to the mixing chamber, and a flow-restraining disk in the outlet from the mixing chamber with flow passages arranged to temporarily increase the flow velocity of the pulp suspension, the second feeder comprising a chemical distribution element integrated with the rotor body to distribute the chemical medium close to the turbulent flow zone, and the rotor body comprising a number of rotor pins which extend from the rotor shaft.

Apparatus for mixing a chemical medium with a pulp suspension

The present invention relates to an apparatus for mixing of a chemical medium in gaseous or liquid state with a pulp suspension. The apparatus comprises a housing having a wall () that defines a mixing chamber (), a first feeder () for feeding the pulp suspension to the mixing chamber, a rotor shaft (), that extends in the mixing chamber, a drive device for rotation of the rotor shaft, a rotor body (), that is connected to the rotor shaft and arranged to supply kinetic energy to the pulp suspension flow, during rotation of the rotor shaft by the rotation of the drive device, such that turbulence is produced in a turbulent flow zone () in the mixing chamber, a second feeder () for feeding of the chemical medium to the mixing chamber, and an outlet for discharging the mixture of chemical medium and pulp suspension from the mixing chamber.
