Embodiments herein disclose e.g. a method performed by a wireless device () for handling communication for the wireless device in a second wireless communication network. The second wireless communication network coexists with a first wireless communication network on a same bandwidth in frequency, wherein the first wireless communication network applies a first shift in frequency in uplink transmissions. The wireless device receives from a radio network node (), an indication indicating application of a second shift in frequency to uplink transmissions in case the second wireless communication network uses Frequency Division Duplex (FDD). The wireless device further applies the second shift in frequency to uplink transmissions, wherein the second shift defines a shift in frequency to a subcarrier relative to a subcarrier grid of the second wireless communication network or a shift in frequency to the subcarrier grid of the second wireless communication network.

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, a network node for communicating with a wireless device is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to receive measurement capability information of a wireless device where the measurement capability information indicates an ability to perform a global navigation satellite system, GNSS, measurement. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine a GNSS measurement gap configuration during which the wireless device is to perform at least one GNSS measurement during at least one GNSS measurement gap where the GNSS measurement gap configuration is based at least in part on the received measurement capability information, and indicate the GNSS measurement gap configuration to the wireless device.

Embodiments include methods for operating a network node in a non-terrestrial network (NTN) that utilizes one or more polarization modes for serving one or more cells. Such methods include transmitting, to one or more user equipment (UEs), an indication of at least one polarization mode configured for use in a first cell of the first NTN. The at least one polarization mode can be indicated in various ways, both explicitly and implicitly. Methods for configuring polarization modes in a non-terrestrial network (NTN)

Embodiments of methods for providing timing advance change detection are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for determining a validity of a timing advance configuration of the wireless device for an idle mode transmission includes obtaining, while the wireless device is operating in a connected mode, a timing advance value for the wireless device. The method further includes transitioning from the connected mode to an idle mode, and performing a measurement on one or more serving cells of the wireless device while the wireless device is in the idle mode. The method also includes determining whether the timing advance is valid for an idle mode transmission based on the measurement. In some embodiments, the measurement may be a signal strength measurement, such as a Reference Signal Received Power measurement and/or a signal quality measurement such as, a Reference Signal Received Quality measurement.

A method is performed by a wireless device for performing a random access. In response to a received paging transmission, and when certain conditions are met, the wireless device randomly selects a random access resource from a plurality of available random access resources. The available random access resources may be spread in time, or in frequency, or in time and frequency. Method and devices for scheduling transmissions of carriers to narrowband internet of things cells

According to some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for handover in a non-terrestrial network (NTN) from a source cell to a target cell comprises receiving a conditional handover configuration for one or more potential target cells. The conditional handover configuration comprises a condition for handover comprising a timing advance threshold value for each of the one or more potential target cells. The method further comprises determining that a timing advance between the wireless device and one of the one or more potential target cells is less than or equal to the timing advance threshold and based on the determination, performing a handover to the target cell.

Minimizing signaling load during handover for NTN

A network node is configured to monitor battery usage on behalf of the low power device and to predict the SOC and remaining life-time for the batteries in the low power devices. The network nodes are fully powered and have the computational capacity to use more complex and accurate models that are not feasible for implementation in resource-limited devices. The network node can calculate the SOC and remaining life-time for a low power device and may also change the transmission and reception patterns for the device to extend the life-time of the battery.

Embodiments include methods for radio link monitoring (RLM) by a user equipment (UE) in a combined terrestrial and satellite wireless communication network. Such methods include, during a discontinuity in a connection between a UE and a terrestrial network node (TNN), performing RLM of the connection based on a second configuration. The connection includes a first link between the UE and a satellite and a second link between the satellite and the TNN.
