An annuloplasty device is disclosed comprising first and second support rings having a coiled configuration, and respective first and second retention units, the first support ring transitions to the second support ring over a transition section, the transition section is adapted to be arranged at a commissure of the heart valve leaflets, the first and second support rings extend in respective first and second coil planes being essentially perpendicular to the central axis, the transition section bends at least partly along the central axis so that the first coil plane is separated a distance from the second coil plane along the central axis at the transition section.

Annuloplasty device

A kit for replacement of a native mitral valve includes a loop-shaped element with a curved body and having at least two full turns between first and second ends and a longitudinal center axis. A first end portion is sized for positioning on an atrial side of the native mitral valve and the second end portion is sized for positioning on a ventricular side of the native mitral valve. At least a part of the second end portion has a larger radius of curvature than at least a part of the first end portion. A prosthetic mitral valve is arranged to be supported within the native mitral valve by at least the second end portion of the loop-shaped element.

Device and method for improving function of heart valve

A method of repairing a defective heart valve is disclosed comprising directing an implant delivery catheter to form a first curve of the implant delivery catheter around chordae of the heart valve on a ventricular side of the heart valve, inserting the implant delivery catheter through the heart valve to an atrial side thereof, forming a second curve of the delivery catheter along an annulus of the heart valve on the atrial side, and ejecting an annuloplasty implant from the delivery catheter while retracting the delivery catheter such that the annuloplasty implant is arranged along the first and second curve on the ventricular and atrial side.

Method of repairing a defective heart valve

The present disclosure relates to an arrangement, a loop-shaped support, a prosthetic heart valve and a method of repairing or replacing a native heart valve. With the method or the arrangement, leakage or regurgitation between a prosthetic heart valve and the surrounding valve tissue is prevented. In one embodiment, an arrangement for replacement or repair of a native heart valve is provided, which comprises a loop-shaped supportand a prosthetic heart valveand wherein an outer segmentof the loop-shaped supportis positionable towards surrounding valve tissue of a native heart valve and wherein an outer surfaceof the prosthetic heart valveis positionable towards an inner segmentof the loop-shaped supportso as to prevent paravalvular leakage or regurgitation between the prosthetic heart valveand the surrounding valve tissue of the native heart valve.

Arrangement, a loop-shaped support, a prosthetic heart valve and a method of repairing or replacing a native heart valve

An annuloplasty device is disclosed comprising first and second support rings being configured to be arranged as a coil in a first configuration around an axial direction, wherein the first and second support rings are configured to be arranged on opposite sides of native heart valve leaflets of a heart valve, a stiffening unit, wherein at least part of the first and second support rings comprises an interior channel configured to receive the stiffening unit, wherein insertion of the stiffening unit into the interior channel increases the stiffness of the first and/or second support rings. A method of repairing a defective heart valve is also disclosed.

A method for repairing a defective heart valve includes directing a delivery catheter to form a first curve around the heart valve at a first side of the heart valve leaflets and forming a second curve of the delivery catheter around the heart valve on a second side of the heart valve leaflets. The first and second curves are connected through a commissure of the heart valve and an annuloplasty implant is ejected from the delivery catheter while the delivery catheter is retracted such that the annuloplasty implant is arranged along the first and second curve.

Annuloplasty implant

A device for repairing a heart valve includes a medical device. The medical device comprises an element in order to downsize the annulus upon insertion and allow the leaflets to open and close properly. The medical device provides a temporary or permanent downsizing of the heart valve. An annuloplasty implant and/or heart valve prosthesis is releasably attached to the medical device for insertion to the annulus and permanent fixation of the latter in a desired shape.

Cardiac valve downsizing device and method

An annuloplasty device is disclosed for treating a defective mitral valve having an annulus, comprising a removable and flexible elongate displacement unit for temporary insertion into a coronary sinus (CS) adjacent the valve, wherein the displacement unit has a delivery state for delivery into the CS, and an activated state to which the displacement unit is temporarily and reversibly transferable from said delivery state, the displacement unit comprises a proximal reversibly expandable portion, a distal anchoring portion being movable in relation to the proximal expandable portion in a longitudinal direction of the displacement unit to said activated state in which the shape of the annulus is modified to a modified shape, wherein the proximal expandable portion is reversibly foldable to an expanded state for positioning against a tissue wall at the entrance of the CS.

Disclosed is a medical system for short time replacement and repair of a native valve, which comprises an artificial valve (); and a device for collecting and arranging chordae and/or leaflets to hold and/or stabilize the artificial valve in a desired position, the device comprising: a unit for grasping a plurality of chordae and/or leaflets. The system and/or device allows for fast and easy replacement of a native valve, fast and easy positioning of a temporary artificial valve, and more time for medical personnel to make decisions, prepare and/or perform surgery/medical intervention.

Medical system, a device for collecting chordae and/or leaflets and a method therefor

A device for improving the function of a heart valve comprises a first loop-shaped support, which is configured to abut a first side of the heart valve, and a first flange unit being connected to said first loop-shaped support. The flange unit is configured to be arranged against said annulus when said first loop-shaped support is abutting said heart valve.

An annuloplasty device is disclosed comprising first and second support rings being configured to be arranged as a coil in a first configuration around an axial direction, wherein the first and second support rings are configured to be arranged on opposite sides of native heart valve leaflets of a heart valve, wherein the first and second support rings are separated with a first pitch distance in the axial direction, in the first configuration, wherein the first and second support rings are configured to assume a contracted state having a second pitch distance in the axial direction being shorter than the first pitch distance, and wherein the first and second support rings are configured to be transferable between the first configuration and the contracted state to pinch the heart valve leaflets. A method of repairing a defective heart valve is also disclosed.

An annuloplasty implant is disclosed comprising first and second support rings arranged in a coiled configuration around an axial direction, and being adapted to be arranged on opposite sides of native heart valve leaflets to pinch said leaflets. At least part of said first and second support ring is formed from a carbon fiber material. The first and second support rings are resiliently movable with respect to each other in opposite directions along said axial direction. A method of manufacturing an annuloplasty implant is also disclosed.
