There is provided mechanisms for beam management. A method is performed by a radio transceiver device. The method comprises obtaining an angle spread value for signal paths towards a second radio transceiver device. The method comprises performing a beam management procedure for selecting which directional beam to use for communication with the second radio transceiver device by transmitting or receiving reference signals in a candidate set of directional beams. Which directional beams to include in the candidate set of directional beams is dependent on the angle spread value by the angle spread value determining sparsity of the directional beams in the candidate set of directional beams.

Beam management for a radio transceiver device

A method performed by a first network node, for transmitting a RLC UM, PDU, to a second network node is provided. The first network node and second network node operate in a wireless communications network. When detected that the RLC UM PDU has failed to be transmitted over a first channel, the first network node decides to redirect the RLC UM PDU to be transmitted over a second channel. The first network node divides the RLC UM PDU into two or more re-segmented RLC UM PDUs. The first network node then transmits the re-segmented RLC UM PDUs to the second network node over the second channel. Each re-segmented RLC UM PDU comprises the following indications:

The present disclosure relates to a method and a serving radio base station (RBS) for link adaptation (LA) of PDCCH. The method includes obtaining information about a reduced power subframe (RPS) pattern used by a neighboring RBS. An indication of a reception quality of the PDCCH at a user equipment (UE) is obtained. A determination is made whether the obtained indication relates to an RPS or a non-RPS according to the obtained information. A first LA loop for a PDCCH to the first UE is controlled. The first LA loop relates to non-RPS. A second LA loop for the PDCCH to the UE is controlled. The second LA loop relates to RPS. At least one of the first and second LA algorithms, depending on the determining, is controlled based on the obtained indication of a reception quality.

Method and base station for link adaptation of PDCCH in a radio communication system

A method in network node for selecting a downlink modulation and coding scheme is provided. The network node obtains information comprising a first uplink signal strength of a transmission from the terminal in the first cell. The network node further obtains information comprising a second uplink signal strength of a transmission from the terminal in the second cell. The network node also obtains scheduled downlink transmission information for the respective first cell and second cell. The network node then selects a downlink modulation and coding scheme for transmission from one or more of the access point serving the first cell and the access point serving the second cell to the terminal. The selection is based on the obtained information comprising the first uplink signal strength, the obtained information comprising the second uplink signal strength, and the obtained scheduled downlink transmission information for the respective first cell and second cell.

Method and network node for link adaptation in a wireless communications network

A method for cell selection comprises obtaining of user equipment specific information for a user equipment that is present in a first cell of a first base station. The user equipment specific information comprises information of a prevailing radio situation and information of a present decoding performance. A present capability of the user equipment for handling increased interference and a measure of a cell selection offset required to cover the user equipment by a second cell is estimated from the user equipment specific information. It is decided on modifying a cell selection offset for handover between the first cell and the second cell, in dependence on the estimated present capability of the user equipment for handling increased interference and the cell selection offset required to cover the user equipment by the second cell.
