The present invention relates to a method for laminating solar cell modules comprising a plurality of solar cells electrically connected in series. The method comprises: providing a first and a second flexible substrate portion suitable for roll-to-roll deposition; providing a plurality of first electrodes on said first substrate portion and a plurality of second electrodes on said second substrate portion, wherein said plurality of first and second electrodes are provided as stripes spatially separated such that a plurality of gaps is formed; depositing a continuous or discontinuous active layer on said plurality of first electrodes or said plurality of second electrodes, where in said continuous or discontinuous active layer is an organic active layer; laminating by means of heat and pressure said first and said second substrate portions together in a roll-to-roll process such that the active layer is brought into physical contact with the other one of said plurality first electrodes or said plurality of second electrodes and such that the active layer is brought into electrical contact with said plurality of first electrodes and said plurality of second electrodes. The plurality of first electrodes is arranged off-set relative said plurality of second electrodes such that each of said plurality of gaps between said plurality of second electrodes are fully covered at least in one direction by respective one of said plurality of first electrodes. The present invention also relates to a solar cell module.

Laminated solar cell module and method of manufacturing said module

Tool arrays for biomedical surgery where the tools consist of layered polymer micromuscles arranged to induce geometrical changes and movements via an electrochemically induced change of volume in at least one polymer layer. The tool or tool arrays are mounted on a carrier having the form of a needle being inserted into a cannula/catheter through which the tools can be electrically actuated via external means to induce a mechanical movement to act upon biological structures.

In a method for patterning a polymer film forming a coating on a material surface, a thin film of polymer is deposited on the surface and the patterning takes place by applying to the material surface a stamp made of an elastomeric material in conformal contact with the surface of the thin film, such that portions thereof contacting one or more protruding elements of the elastomeric stamp formed by one or more indentations thereof, are attached to the protruding element or elements and removed from the material surface with the stamp. In a method for transferring a patterned polymer film onto a material surface, a thin film polymer is deposited on a stamp surface and the stamp is applied in conformal contact with the material surface, such that thin film of polymer is transferred thereto from one or more protruding elements of the elastomeric stamp formed by at least one indentation thereof, thus leaving a patterned thin film of polymer on the material surface when removing the stamp therefrom. Use for patterning an etched resist in the form of a thin film of polymer on a gold layer.

Fiber-reinforced microactuator

In a method in the fabrication of an organic thin-film semiconducting device comprising an electrode arrangement with electrodes contacting a semiconducting organic material, an anode in the electrode arrangement is made as a two-layer structure, where the first layer is a conducting or semiconducting material or a combination thereof deposited on a substrate and a second layer is a conducting polymer with a work function higher than that of the material in the first layer. A third layer consisting of semiconducting organic material and forming the active material of the device is deposited on the top of the anode, and the cathode made of a fourth layer of a metal deposited on a third layer. In a preferred embodiment a low work function metal is used in the first layer, a doped conjugated polymer such as PEDOT-PSS in the second layer, while the cathode may be formed of the same metal as used in the first layer. Use in the manufacturing of the electrode arrangement in an organic thin-film diode or in a transistor structure.
