A connection mechanism including a plurality of microstructure features. The connection mechanism includes a first strip, with a plurality of protrusions extending from the first strip, and a second strip, with a plurality of protrusions extending from the second strip. The protrusions define grooves between adjacent protrusions. A pressure sensitive adhesive is provided in at least some of the grooves. When the first and second strips are brought together, the protrusions from one strip are received in the grooves of the other, and some of the protrusions contact the pressure sensitive adhesive, thereby connecting the first and second strips. The connection mechanism can be used as a closure mechanism for a plastic storage bag.

A wall covering, a method of producing it and a method of covering a wall. The wall covering comprises a planar substrate, such as a nonwoven base substrate, having a front, and a back facing opposite the front. There is a barrier layer on the back of the substrate and an adhesive layer superimposed on the barrier layer. The adhesive layer comprises a first polymer component, a second polymer component, the first polymer component being a non crosslinked polymer and said second polymer component being a crosslinked polymer exhibiting properties of superabsorbency. The adhesive exhibits when exposed to water, a strength sufficient for binding to a wall substrate and a glide resistance low enough for allowing repositioning of the wall cover by sliding the wallcover on the wall without having to lift it up over a period of time of at least 5 minutes.

The encapsulating material is a carboxylic acid selected from an aliphatic carboxylic acid, a cycloaliphatic carboxylic acid, an aromatic carboxylic acid, and mixtures thereof. The lubricating oils are useful in internal combustion engines.

A deformable stamp for patterning a surface. The stamp can be placed in contact with an entire 3-dimensional object, such as a rod, in a single step. A method for applying a pattern to a target surface includes the steps of applying a coating of membrane material over a selected portion of a substrate. The substrate imparts a pattern to the membrane material corresponding to a pattern to be applied to the target surface. A support member is positioned in contact with an outer portion of the membrane material. The support member has a higher rigidity than the membrane material. The method may also combine the steps of curing the membrane material to bond the support member to the membrane. When bonded to the membrane, the support member maintains at least a portion of the membrane in a substantially taut condition to prevent a portion of the membrane from folding onto itself. The membrane is then employed to impart the pattern to the target surface.
