An apparatus contains a dihydrogen tank and/or a dihydrogen circuit, and a device for regulating a concentration of dihydrogen located outside the tank and/or the circuit. The device includes at least one pair of electrical conductors including a first electrical conductor supplied with a first voltage and a second electrical conductor supplied with a second voltage which is different from the first voltage. At least one controller repeatedly commands the application of a predetermined voltage difference between the first electrical conductor and the second electrical conductor so that an electric arc of controlled power is formed in order to burn dihydrogen possibly coming from the tank and/or from the circuit. Thus, dihydrogen does not accumulate in undesired places in the apparatus.

A propulsive electric motor set for aircraft includes an electrical energy source and an electric motor provided with a drive shaft on which is mounted a propeller. The electric motor includes a first set of windings linked to the electrical energy source to provide a rotational drive function for the drive shaft. The electric motor further includes a second set of windings which, when the drive shaft is driven in rotation by an electric powering of the first set of windings, provides an electric generation function configured to supply non-propulsive loads of the aircraft. Thus, the non-propulsive loads of the aircraft can be electrically powered without any overload compromising the aerodynamics of the aircraft.

A propulsion system includes a system for producing electricity that supplies electricity to at least one electric motor to which is mechanically coupled a propeller situated near a first longitudinal end of a nacelle that houses at least the system for producing electricity and the at least one electric motor. An air circulation channel, which receives a heat exchanger provided to allow the system for producing electricity to be cooled, extends inside the nacelle from a first end of the air circulation channel situated at the first longitudinal end of the nacelle. A part of the air circulation channel that is contiguous with its first end is delimited by an outer surface of cylindrical shape that surrounds the longitudinal axis of the nacelle.

Electric propulsion system of an aircraft

A hydrogen storage system comprises a hydrogen tank and a system for controlling hydrogen evaporation in the hydrogen tank. This control system comprises a hydrogen discharge pipe connected to the hydrogen tank, on the one hand, and to a controllable valve, on the other hand, as well as a processing unit configured to control the valve as a function of the pressure in the tank. The hydrogen storage system further comprises a fuel cell permanently connected to the hydrogen tank and the processing unit being electrically powered by the fuel cell.

Hydrogen storage system and aircraft comprising a hydrogen storage system

Use of a hydrogen tank of a vehicle such as an aircraft for protecting at least one electrical connection device linked to at least one electrical device. At least one connection device is placed in a tank or in a sealed enclosure supplied with hydrogen by a tank or by any other source of hydrogen supply of the vehicle. The use of a tank that already exists in the vehicle makes it possible to avoid having to use specific chambers incorporated in a complex manner with the connection device.

A system of fuel cells for an aircraft including a plurality of fuel cells, a hydrogen circuit, a cooling circuit and a first air circuit configured to supply oxygen to a first subset of fuel cells having at least two cells. The first air circuit includes an air flow restrictor at each fuel cell inlet of the first subset and configured to distribute the air between the fuel cells of the first subset, and an outlet valve connected to the outlet of the fuel cells of the first subset, the opening of the outlet valve being controlled by a computer as a function of an electrical power that is to be produced by the fuel cells of the first subset. The use of the same air circuit to supply oxygen to several fuel circuits makes it possible to limit the bulk of the fuel cells system.

Aircraft fuel cells system

A system of fuel cells for an aircraft includes a plurality of fuel cells, a hydrogen circuit, an air circuit, and a first cooling circuit configured to cool a first subset of cells including at least two cells. The first cooling circuit includes a computer-controlled device for mixing a first liquid coolant at a first temperature with a second liquid coolant at a second temperature lower than the first temperature to obtain a liquid coolant having a target temperature, a liquid coolant restrictor configured to distribute the liquid coolant between the cells of the first subset, and an outlet valve, the opening of which is controlled by the computer as a function of the cooling needs of the cells of the first subset. The use of a cooling circuit to cool several fuel circuits makes it possible to limit the bulk of the fuel cells system.
