A receiver-system comprising a path-switching-unit, a redirect-switching-unit, a plurality of receive-paths, and a processor. The path-switching-unit has a plurality of path-switch-input-terminals that are each couplable to a receive-antenna. The redirect-switching-unit has a plurality of redirect-switch-output-terminals that are each associated with one of the plurality of path-switch-input-terminals in order to define a plurality of switch-terminal-pairs. The receive-paths are connected between a path-switch-output-terminal and a redirect-switch-input-terminal. The path-switching-unit and the redirect-switching-unit are configured to selectively connect each receive-path between different ones of the plurality of switch-terminal-pairs, based on a switch-control-signal. The processor can receive first-processor-input-signals from a first configuration of the plurality of receive paths selectively connected between the plurality of switch-terminal-pairs; receive further-processor-input-signals from one or more further configurations of the plurality of receive-paths selectively connected between the plurality of switch-terminal-pairs; and determine an angle-of-arrival associated with the input-signals based on the first-processor-input-signals and further-processor-input-signals.

Receiver-system

The disclosure relates to a module for a radio receiver. The module comprises an input terminal; an output terminal; a main signal path for communicating in-phase and quadrature signals between the input terminal and the output terminal; and a second signal path. The second signal path is connected in parallel with the main signal path and is configured to: extract in-phase and quadrature signals from the main signal path; filter the extracted in-phase and quadrature signals; detect an error in the filtered, extracted in-phase and quadrature signals; and apply a correction to in-phase and quadrature signals on the main signal path based on the error.

Module for a radio receiver

An RF receiver comprising: an RF signal processing unit for receiving an RF signal, wherein the RF signal processing unit comprises a dynamically reconfigurable RF filter for filtering the RF signal; an analog-to-digital converter for converting the filtered RF signal to a digital signal; and a digital signal processing unit for processing the digital signal to provide at least one channel; wherein the digital signal processing unit is adapted to adjust a respective transfer function of at least one said channel when the RF filter is reconfigured, to at least partially compensate a change in the transfer function of the RF filter.

RF receiver

A single tone RF signal generator and a method of generating a single tone RF signal. The single tone RF signal generator includes an output and a power amplifier that has an input. The power amplifier is operable to receive an RF signal including a first harmonic corresponding to a single tone signal to be produced by the signal generator. The power amplifier is also operable to amplify the RF signal. The power amplifier is further operable to provide the amplified RF signal to the output of the signal generator. The single tone RF signal generator further includes a feedback circuit connected between the output of the signal generator and the input of the power amplifier. The feedback circuit is configured to add one or more predistortion harmonics to the RF signal received by the power amplifier for cancelling harmonics in the amplified RF signal provided by the power amplifier.

Single tone RF signal generator

An RF receiver comprising: an amplifier configured to receive an RF signal over an input bandwidth and to provide an amplified RF signal; an equalizer circuit connected to the amplifier to receive the amplified RF signal and configured to provide an equalized RF signal; a converter module connected to the equalizer circuit and comprising an analog to digital converter configured to convert the equalized RF signal to a digital signal; and a digital signal processing module connected to the receiver module and configured to process the digital signal to provide a plurality of channels at an output of the receiver, wherein the digital signal processing module is further configured to process the digital signal to determine a measure of tilt in the RF signal across the input bandwidth and is connected to the equalizer circuit to provide a control signal for adjusting the measured tilt.
