Disclosed is a method for updating a database of a geolocation server using a wireless communication system. The database includes a table associating an identifier of a transmitting device with at least one piece of information on its geographical position. The communication system includes an access network and a terminal communicating with the access network and with the transmitting devices according to two distinct protocols. The terminal receives a message emitted by a transmitting device and including an identifier of the transmitting device. The terminal emits a message with this identifier to the access network. The access network determines a piece of information on the geographical position of the terminal. A consistency check is performed between the piece of position information of the terminal determined by the access network and the piece of position information present in the table. The table is updated based on the consistency check.

Method for updating a database of a geolocation server

A method for geolocating a terminal of a wireless communication system. A set of reference elements is determined with the aid of messages transmitted by calibration terminals during a calibration phase. Each reference element includes a radio signature and a geographical position of a calibration terminal when a message is transmitted. A refinement phase makes it possible to clean and/or to enrich the set of reference elements by virtue of the identification of points of interest corresponding to preferential positions of transmission of messages by the terminals. During a search phase, the position of a terminal of interest is determined based on its radio signature and of the modified set of reference elements.

Method and system for geolocating a terminal occupying particular geographical positions

A method for geolocating a terminal of a wireless communication system from measurements of a parameter representative of a radio signal exchanged between the terminal and base stations of the communication system. The method uses fixed base stations and a mobile base station which is displaced in a determined search area. During a predefined search period, the terminal emits several radio signals to the fixed base stations and the mobile base station. A method for estimating the geographical position of a terminal of interest, among a panel of terminals of a wireless communication system. For each terminal of the panel, a time signature including values measured for each terminal during a predetermined observation period is determined. Values of similarity between the time signatures of the terminals of the panel is calculated, a similarity value calculated for two terminals representing the probability of the terminals being moved together or having been located at the same place during the observation period. Various terminals of the panel are partitioned into different groups depending on the similarity values. Method of notification of information determined by a terminal destined for an access network of a wireless communication system

A method for geolocating a terminal of a wireless communication system, based on a learning method making it possible to estimate the geographical position of a terminal using both a radio signature corresponding to a set of values representative of the quality of radio links existing between the terminal located at the sought position and a plurality of base stations of the wireless communication system, as well as a reference data set associating radio signatures with known geographical positions. To limit the complexity of the learning algorithm and to make it resistant to topology changes of the access network, each radio signature contains a selection of N values among the set of measured values, as well as the geographical positions of the corresponding base stations.

Method and system for geolocating a terminal of a wireless communication system

A method for estimating the movement of a terminal of interest with respect to an access network. An incoming frequency of a message of interest transmitted by the terminal of interest and received by a pair of base stations of the access network are measured. The incoming frequencies of calibration messages transmitted by calibration terminals and received by the pair of base stations are measured. A differential measurement error according to the incoming frequencies of the calibration messages is estimated. A difference in incoming frequency of the message of interest according to the incoming frequencies of the message of interest and according to the differential measurement error is estimated. The movement of the terminal of interest according to the difference in incoming frequency of the message of interest is estimated.
