A laminated glazing according to this disclosure includes a first glass sheet having first and second opposing surfaces, a second glass sheet having third and fourth opposing surfaces, an interlayer positioned between the second surface of the first glass sheet and the third surface of the second glass sheet, a first opaque layer, and a first reflective layer on the second glass sheet in an area overlapping with the first opaque layer.

Conductive busbar for electrical connection on vehicle window

A vehicle window glass comprises a glass substrate layer, an electrically conductive layer forming a conductive pattern over the glass substrate, a lead-free solder layer on the conductive layer and a metal plate element of an electrical connector on the solder layer. Optionally a coloured ceramic band layer is sintered between the glass substrate layer and the conductive layer. The thickness of the metal plate element is between 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm.

Vehicle window glass with electrical connector soldered by lead-free solder

A method of producing a vehicle glass assembly includes (A) providing a harness including a metal wire, a connector at a terminal of the metal wire, including a flat portion made of a metal plate, and a block of lead-free solder, containing tin as a major component, soldered on the flat portion of the connector; (B) providing a glass substrate layer over which a conductive layer, including an electrically conductive wire pattern and a connecting terminal, is formed; (C) sandwiching the block between the flat portion of the connector and the connecting terminal of the conductive layer, and then melting the block to form a solder connection between the connector and the connecting terminal; wherein the amount of the lead-free solder is between 4 mg and 13 mg.

Method of producing a vehicle glass assembly

A method of producing a vehicle glass assembly, includes (A) providing a connector made of metal plate and comprising a first flat portion, a second flat portion and a bridge portion connecting between the first and the second flat portions, each the flat portion having a respective surface to be soldered, (B) soldering lead-free solder onto the surfaces to form first and second blocks of lead-free solder on the surfaces of the first flat portion and the second flat portion, respectively, (C) providing a glass substrate layer on which an electrically conductive layer comprising a wire pattern and a busbar is formed, and (D) sandwiching the lead-free solder blocks between their respective surfaces and the busbar, and then melting the blocks to form solder connections between the connector and the busbar; wherein the amount of lead-free solder in each of the blocks is between 15 mg and 50 mg.

The present disclosure relates to a laminated glazing comprising a first glass substrate and a second glass substrate laminated together having first and second polymer intermediate films therebetween, and a layered film laminated between the polymer intermediate films, wherein the layered film comprises at least three carrier layers positioned parallel to one another with a second carrier layer positioned between first and third carrier layers, wherein a first surface of the first carrier layer is coated with a first transparent conductive coating and a first surface of the second carrier layer is coated with a second transparent conductive coating, wherein the first surface of the first carrier layer faces the first surface of the second carrier layer, and wherein a second surface of the second carrier layer is coated with a third transparent conductive coating and a first surface of the third carrier layer is coated with a fourth transparent conductive coating, wherein the second surface of the second carrier layer faces the first surface of the third carrier layer; a first switchable layer positioned between the first and second carrier layers; and a second switchable layer positioned between the second and third carrier layers.
