The invention relates to a method for at least partially deconstructing a flat display screen (), the screen () comprising: &#x2014;a substantially flat faceplate () comprising four side edges and a visible part () on a front face of the screen (), said visible part () being intended to display images, &#x2014;a frame () that mounts the faceplate () by partially covering at least the front face and two side edges, the method comprising steps of: &#x2014;disposing () a single screen () on a holding device (), and &#x2014;clamping () the single screen () to the holding device (). The method is essentially characterized in that it also comprises a step of: &#x2014;effecting plastic deformation () of the frame () while maintaining the integrity of the faceplate ().
