An inspection line comprises: at a finish inspection station, a finish inspection installation capable of detecting without contact, by light rays, check-type defects in the neck of the containers; at a base inspection station, a base inspection installation capable of detecting without contact, by light rays, check-type defects in the base of the containers; and at a radiographic measuring station, a radiographic installation for automatically measuring linear dimensions of at least one region to be inspected of containers. The three installations are each arranged at stations distinct from each other along a trajectory of displacement of the containers. In each installation, a section of the transport device ensures, in the inspection area of the installation, the transport of the containers along a rectilinear portion of the trajectory (T) in a horizontal conveying plane (Pc) perpendicular to the central axis of the containers.

A measurement method comprises acquiring, using image sensors (Cji) for each object during its displacement, at least three radiographic images of the region to be inspected. The images are obtained from at least three radiographic projections of the region to be inspected, the directions of projection (Dji) of which are different from each other. A computer system is provided with an a priori geometric model of the region to be inspected for the series of objects. Using the computer system and considering a constant attenuation coefficient and, from the a priori geometric model, at least three radiographic images of the region to be inspected, a digital geometric model of the region to be inspected is determined. For each object of the series, from the digital geometric model of the region to be inspected, at least one linear dimension measurement of the region to be inspected is determined.

Method and facility for the in-line dimensional control of manufactured objects

A method of determining the capacity of containers () comprises using an X-ray computed-tomography apparatus () to acquire a plurality of X-ray images (I) of the container at different projection angles. The X-ray images are analyzed in order to construct a model of the container from the X-ray images, determine the inside surface of the digital model of the container, position a filling level plane on the digital model of the container parallel to the support surface and at a nominal distance from the top of the digital model of the container, and measure by calculation the inside volume of the digital model of the container as defined by the inside surface of the digital model and by the filling level plane, the measurement being the filling capacity of the container.

A method of determining the position and the orientation of at least one interface comprises illuminating the interface that is determined with at least one non-polarized diffuse light source point, using an image-forming device to acquire an image enabling polarization information determined about the reflection(s) of the source point on the interface to be determined, and in the image, locating any reflection of the light source point as reflected by the interface. For each located reflection, the light ray reaching the image-forming device together with at least its degree of polarization as its polarization parameter is calculated. The light ray as reflected on the interface that to be determined is calculated. Method and device for the detection in particular of refracting defects

An in-line method for optically inspecting transparent or translucent containers () comprises illuminating each container with a light source that presents light intensity variation in a periodic pattern along at least a first variation direction. A number N greater than or equal to three of images of the container traveling in front of the light source and occupying N different respective positions along the travel path is taken. Between taking successive images, a relative shift between the container and the periodic pattern is created. A geometrical transformation is determined and applied in order to put the pixels belonging to the container in the N successive images of the same container into coincidence. A phase image for each container is constructed using the N registered images of the container. The phase image is analyzed in order to deduce therefrom at least the presence of defects or the quality of the container.
